What‘s the difference between an Aufenthaltsbewilligung (residence permit) and an Arbeitsbewilligung (work permit), and do both allow a foreigner to work in Bern? What organization is in charge of regulating the work of foreigners? At what point do free-lancers have to pay taxes and make contributions to AHV (social security)?
The Bern English Resource Network (BERNnet), an AWC Bern interest group, invites you to join us for an evening presentation on February 24, 2011, as those topics and more are addressed by Hubert Feller of the Fremdenpolizei, the official entity responsible for regulating the presence of foreign residents in Bern.
