The BSCC Central Switzerland Chapter takes great pleasure in inviting you, your colleagues and friends to a British breakfast with Matthias Michel in Zug.

07.45 – 09.00 British Breakfast Buffet
08.05 - 08.25 “Zug: Tax vs. Service Centre”

Our guest of honour and speaker will be Matthias Michel, Chairman of the Cantonal Government, Head of the Department of Economic Affairs.

Matthias Michel is a long-standing member of the Cantonal Government. He took over a role in the Executive Committee in 2003 as Head of the Department for Culture & Education. Since 2007 he has been Head of the
Department for Economic Affairs and for the period 2011/12 will preside as Chairman (Landammann) of the Cantonal Government.

“Zug: Tax vs. Service Centre”

US television, government intervention and widely publicised cases have thrown Switzerland and their tax and data protection policies into the public spotlight. Zug has long been known for its low tax and has attracted many international businesses. But the competition and pressure is not just from outside, other local cantons have also changed their tax policies and the competition for international business is huge. Where does Zug officially stand on this? Will it continue to focus on tax? Matthias Michel,
Chairman of the Cantonal Government will be giving us, in this short breakfast presentation, his views about tax and telling us what he believes to be the key selling points for Zug. Which may not, incidentally, just be tax.

Sign up now and take advantage of this opportunity to hear the highest political officer in the Canton of Zug talk about the Cantonal government’s stance on tax and location competition.

Participation fee (including VAT): CHF 48.-- for members and their guests and CHF 65.-- for non-members. (VAT No: 354 166). No payments can be taken on the day of the event.

Re: BSCC Business Breakfast Event in Zug

The BSCC is non profit organisation so the attendance fee covers cost such as renting the venue, food, administration costs etc.

We have organised a number of successful Great British Breakfast events in Geneva with guests such as Lord Leon Brittan, Guy Mettan, François Nordmann - this will be the first in Zug. The events offer a great chance to network.

I hope to see some EF members there!

Conceded.

What's on offer for breakfast ?

I am intrigued, a British Breakfast is nothing to be sniffed at, I might be tempted to go.

There will be a hot breakfast with bacon, sausages, eggs etc - delicious!

Let me know if you fancy coming - I'd be hapy to offer English Forum members the chance to come at the BSCC member rate of CHF 48
