City/Town: Morges & Geneva
Event Type: Special Promotion
Location: Morges lakeside & Palexpo
Price: Free entry.

This is actually 2 or 3 events in one......

First, I will be in Morges on Saturday October 1st for the British Classic Car Show, they are expecting over 1500 cars to be on display along the lake, last time I came they put me by the marina next to the main entrance of the event and I'm hoping I will be there again. I'll be bringing lots of cheese and British Ales (I'll probably be making up small cheese tasting plates too to enjoy with the beer too).

Then on Sunday I'll be at the Palexpo next to Geneva airport for the Expat-Expo from 11.00 - 17.00 to sell the remaining beer and cheese.... don't worry, I will bring plenty. At the Expo there will be lots of other companies exhibiting of course and there will even be a bouncy castle for the little ones.

But... Saturday evening I will be staying at the Ibis hotel at Geneva airport and if anyone fancies a beer or 3 it'd be nice for me to get an evening off. It's your town so feel free to make any suggestions... as long as I can get back to the hotel to get a reasonable amount of sleep!

Please indicate which event/s from the weekend you will likely to be at and at what time. Maybe we can arrange an EF meet at 2pm on each of the 2 days for those of you would like to make new friends. Both commercial events are free entry BTW.

Looking forward to meeting some more of you!

What time/where exactly are people meeting tomorrow? I can ring BelgianMum to find her and her family, but was just wondering if there was a specific plan?

I read someplace that a few people are planning to be there for 14:00 so that is the time I will be targeting.

I've just spoken to the organisor and he doesn't know where exactly I will be but you're sure to find me, look out for my white British Cheese van with a blue tent attached to the side... or just try to smell the toasting bagels and warm cheddar.

Come round anytime and introduce yourselves but the main meet will be at 2pm. I'll do the formalities if you're too shy

Looks like we'll be arriving on the 14:18 train. Will have a wander round and try and find you (or ring BM because I'm useless and need help!).

I'll be there around 2 as well with my baby (if she hasn't come down with the chicken pox invasion they're facing at daycare by then)

I wouldn't rely on me to help you find your way around as I've never been before either.

We're aiming to be there around midday as the boys want to have a good look at all the cars. Might have to bring a book with me I think (or just spend the afternoon sampling all of Grumpy's wares).

We will have to have stickers on like at school

We are catching the 11.56 from Yverdon arriving at Morges at 12.18pm - My neighbour told me today that it really is a great day!!

I'm a bit further along the lake this year behind some landrovers and Sunbeam Alpines. Toasted cheddar bagel for brunch is doing the trick for me. See you all soon!

I'm still bluddy annoyed that I am not in the Geneva area today. However, I will be there as from next weekend! Any chance of an action replay next Sunday Grumpy, then I could buy not only cheese, but eggs from you too?!

Tasty cheese and cars :)

I just came back from Morges. The weather behaved for once and we had a very nice day. That show was a must for every classic car lover I could stay there for ages but duty (and the dog) called us back to Geneva. Also great seeing some EF members (and making it difficult to groan at them now that i know them personally!).

And of course i must mention a great cheese guy and the most delicious bagels i had in ages! The only complain is that they run out and i couldnt have a second one

Maybe see some of you tonight here for more cheese and beer!

Lovely day, lovely people, lovely food! Great to meet you all, thanks to GG for the yummy Britishness. I'd forgotten how great chutney was! Hope you have fun in Geneva.

Yummy cider! And the cheddar bagel was amazing - lucky me got the second last one!

Great to meet y`all and I enjoyed chatting with you (didn`t meet Grynch though ). And what a cool action from two surprise guests from the Suisse Alemanique - coming all the way to Vaud.

I did so enjoy meeting everyone this afternoon but hadn't expected you all to be QUITE SO YOUNG
Grumpy certainly has the best cheese I've ever tasted, and he looks pretty good too.
