Grumpy may I kindly ask you if you would bring that cheese that changes consistency with time. The one that was harder in the middle and softer towards the outside ?

But there really was one that was different. It was like 2 cheeses in one.
And of course I can't remember the name |

Does that mean you've guessed which one it is and you'll bring some ?
If so, thank you.

But this one starts life dry and crumbly and gets more creamy once it's 4 months old. | Quote: | | | | | Does that mean you've guessed which one it is and you'll bring some ?
If so, thank you. | | | | | Yes, Gorwydd Caerphilly. It won Gold medal at the British Cheese Festival in Cardiff a few weeks ago and the ones I have now will be perfect this weekend (ie, more creamy than in this pic) | This user would like to thank grumpygrapefruit for this useful post: | |

Well, I shall certainly be having some of that on Saturday Grumpy - looking forward to buying some of your eggs at last too! Will you be providing a small "lunchy" thing, or are you just obliged to provide cheese tasting in the usual sense of the term (I suppose you have to allow Movenpick to sell some wine!)

It won't be lunch but I will try to remember to buy some bread on my way to Lausanne.... I'll also have some chutneys open so we could make cheese sarnies |

A new delivery has just arrived so I'll be bringing some great cheeses to these 2 events including our best seller Godminster Bio Cheddar, my favourite cheddar from the Isle of Mull (ask me for my recipe for the "Scottish Fondue with whisky"), our new aged Red Leicester, Gorwydd Caerphilly, the new and amazing "Traditional" Blue Stilton, Shropshire Blue, Somerset Blue as well as some goat and sheeps milk cheeses, oatcakes and chutneys.
I might even bring some Clotted Cream with me. See you tomorrow or Saturday.

I've just realised I missed off one very important bit of info. The church are charging 25.00 a head for the event tonight. There will be plenty of cheese and wine though so it will be good value and it's a good cause.

Thanks to everyone who made it (one intrepid soul came all the way from Shaffhausen!), we had about 50 people in the end and I hope you all enjoyed the wine, cheese and my stories.
I'm off to Geneva now to the FREE wine and cheese event (sorry for missing the charge off the church event, but it was for a good cause). See you anytime after 11.00
And for British cheese lovers in this area, I'm in discussion with 2 shops down here about them stocking some of our cheese, hopefully very soon.

See you there - with any luck I will get around to preparing breakfast in the next 10 minutes, and then it will be up and away to Movenpick (we will have showered and dressed in the meantime of course!). Daughter is waiting with baited breath to taste some cheddar.

It was a real pleasure to finally meet up with you Michael. We have sampled a little of all we purchased yesterday, and the whole family, including the dog, really enjoyed the experience! Please thank the respective Misses Cluck for producing such excellent eggs (with almost orange yolks) - could I say la crème de la crème?!
I do so hope your schedule allows you to visit Geneva again in the not too distant future Michael.
All the best,
Merry
