If you like beer and meat then you're going to love what we're doing. Hope you can make it.
We sat down with a local restaurant and enjoyed some amazing traditional Swiss dishes with our beer. This is the result of a questionable evening:
"The Bier Factory and mundArtbeiz of Rapperswil have teamed up to present the first evening in a series of educational events on how to correctly pair beer with a meal. The first event: biär + wursCHt.
Wine is often thought of first to compliment a meal; however, beer is equally as interesting and offers complexities that wine cannot match to balance a meal. Beginning at 6 p.m. on November 2nd, customers can enjoy seasonal micro brewed beers that have been selected to compliment traditional sausages from throughout Switzerland. Guests will be able to order from a seasonal menu exclusively developed for this one night affair.
During the dinner, guests will learn the basics of pairing beer from the brew master of the Bier Factory, Stephen Hart. More complex pairing concepts will also be discussed, such as how the roasted malts of a dark stout and the hoppy bitterness of an India Pale Ale (IPA) differ from those of traditional ales and why the beers were chosen to accompany the sausages presented."
Reservations are recommended.
