so how does this work?

The idea is very simple – you prepare a speech (about atopic that interest you), and you then give a speech in front of the audience. Everytime you prepare a speech, you would focus on different aspects of the speaking technique.

For example – on one speech you will focus on the opening and closing (that the speech has good opening and memorable closing). On other occasion you will focus on your body language and eye contact (do you look the audience in the eyes? Do you use yourhands when you speak). After each speech, other club members giveyou feedback about what went well and what didn’t, so you have chance to improve your style and technique.

There is a program of 10 different speeches you need to prepare, in order to progress further. It is very efficient.

Toastmasters is non-profit club, and TM clubs exist everywhere. Come to see if you like it. PM me for contact if you are coming.
