If you've been around EF for a while you may remember my "Ploughmans Lunches" at the Bier Factory in Rapperswil (
here's a reminder from almost 10 years ago). Well this Friday evening I'll be hosting a mini revival at their new brewery premises. If you don't know Bier factory Rapperswil, they are a small craft brewery run by an American guy passionate about good beer. As well as a great lager, they also brew Pale Ale, IPA, Black Beer and for this time of year, a spiced Pumpkin Ale.
I'll be heading down from my British Cheese shop in Zürich and will be serving a 4 cheese plate with pickles, bread and crackers.
We kick off about 6pm and we'll be serving cheese till about 8.30 and the bar will continue serving until 10.30. You can come just for the cheese, or just for the beer. My cheese plates will cost 15.00 each (enough as a snack for 2 or a meal for 1). It's a small bar so we can't guarantee seating at any given time, but there is some outside space and if we get busy I'm sure we'll spill out there. Weather forecast so far is dry!
The brewery is a 20 minute walk from the train station, or you can take buses 991 or 992 from behind the Rapperswil BH 4 stops to Jona, Busskirchstrasse, then a 400m walk north, under the train lines and the brewery is on the right.
Cheers!
