Re: Hit-Crib Presents "Firday Night Fights" Rap Battles 30 March @ Club Le Bal in Zur
Hello and thanks for your question. "Friday Night Fights" is a monthly event that is intended to be held on the last Friday of each month in a different Swiss city each month. The "any language" idea is the catch. The idea is just because someone competing in Swiss German may be the favorite during the Zurich battle, it does not mean that person will be a favorite in Geneva or the Italian speaking part of Switzerland. Switzerland is a multi-lingual and multi-cultural Country and to limited the concept to just one language would not be fair to others. Also, this give everyone a fair shot during the events. A battle is not only judged by what you say to your opponent. You are also judged on how you "flow" with the given beat, if your words make sence, and how you "move the crowd". In addition, the beats are unknown which will really bring out the best in the rapper. Also, all the contestants are well informed that if the sign up for a Zurich Battle, then most of their opponents will rap in Swiss or High German. They must prepare themselves for this possibility and come prepared to take on all involved. The same goes for when Friday Night Fights in held in Geneva. The contestants already know that most will rap in French. Currently, we've been advertising the Zurich event for 3 weeks now and we already have 11 of 16 contestant's joined. Of the 11 contestant's the languages so far include: Swiss German, High German, English, French and Turkish. Two of the contestant's are traveling from Southern France to compete in Friday Night Fights. This alone already provides evidence that our concept is working! I hope I have answered your question and please feel free to ask more questions. Best, Killa Silk Hit-Crib Entertainment |
