It was nice to meet a few new faces and and bring home a couple cheeses, crackers and chutney! Maybe I'll read that vampire novel one day. | This user would like to thank Nathu for this useful post: | |

That was a busy day! And thanks Nathu for volunteering to take the empty wine bottles to the bottle bank on your way home. And for... well, you know who you all are, for emptying them in the first place .
Orell Füssli seemed very happy with the day as we brought quite a number of visitors along and they are already talking about making this a regular event. I ran out of cheese about 4.30 so will know to bring more next time.
And more wine, of course.

I didn't want to start yet another thread for this, so thought I'd just tag onto this one.
I'll be at OF again tomorrow (Saturday 15th May) from 11 - 5 with lots of cheese to try for free, I'll also have a few bottles of wine. Although I do sell some cheese on the day, these open days are more to do with learning about real British farm cheeses, as well as a nice social get together over a few glasses of wine.
Tomorrow I'll have about 3 cheddars, Caerphilly, Wensleydale, Red Leicester, Double Berkeley and some more unusual ones including some smoked and a couple of unusual blues.
Nothing like a good natter with some cheese and wine to beat these rainy day blues!

Cheers Weelad. That was a lovely day, nice to see lots of friendly faces. Someone though left a bag behind, it contained some Godminster and Dunsyre Blue, if it was someone from EF let me know and I'll re-cut them for you Wednesday. In the meantime..... mmmmm
