Smash your best performance! Personal tailored coaching for triathlon

Hi there,

My name is Louis Nicholls, and I have recently moved to Bern in Switzerland, in order to learn German for university. I am offering personal tailored coaching for biathlon/triathlon/pentathlon, all levels from very beginners to international athletes. Read on to discover how the you can save the time and money you are currently wasting on your training regime with my help!


Whilst working as head coach of the Bern Swim Club some years ago, I became involved in coaching the local triathletes, including Olympian Sybille Matte. Two things quickly became apparent to me: Firstly, for a number of reasons, nearly all triathletes could make much bigger improvements in their swimming than the other two disciplines. Secondly, due to the lack of a clear overall training/nutritional plan developed by an expert, triathletes constantly under perform when compared to single-sport athletes.

By creating a perfectly balanced and individually tailored training and nutrition plan for each triathlete, and spending just a couple of hours working intensively on swimming technique and land-based exercises, the triathletes’ performance improved dramatically in all three disciplines. Indeed Sybille Matte achieved her highest ranking in an Iron Man at the age of 37 after just 3 months of her new regime!

This success led to my involvement as a coach at Plymouth College in England, where I have been coaching both the International-level swimmers, and heading up their national academy for triathlon/modern pentathlon. In this position I have been fortunate enough to work with athletes at every level, from complete novices to Olympic medallists!
