Thanks for a great night GG. I hope you got as much out of if as I did. We should do it again sometime.
Thanks for bringing your work colleagues down for the tasting. Hopefully you won't get so much stick now about British beer and cheese!

If you're familiar with Black Velvet (sparkling wine/champagne with Guinness) you might like our new drink.... Chocolate Velvet. A mix of Prosecco and Sam Smiths Chocolate Stout served in a wine glass. The girls went loopy over it last night... well, Prosecco and chocolate. Who wouldn't?

I saw on Facebook that SRF are filming at the Viadukt: 'SRF - bi de Lüt'
It is due to be broadcast on 19th April. (not 19th March as originally posted)

New beers at the Mousetrap Pub include.....

Old Engine Oil Porter, Black, sweet and viscous
Green King Strong Suffolk Ale
Bass old fashioned Pale Ale
Durham Brewery White Stout
Duruam Brewery St Cuthbert 6.5% IPA - the most stunning IPA I have ever tasted.... bottle conditioned, cloudy, hoppy, fruity, sharp and refreshing.

We now have about 50 different beers, ales and ciders!

Tempted to celebrate the solstice tomorrow evening. Will you be about or will I have to look after the girls again?

I have a private event in town until about 8.00 so would you mind looking after the girls until I return?

You are about three months early/late for the solstice.
Just about on time for the equinox though

Re: Grumpy's Pub, the Mousetrap, is now serving

The Viadukt market closes at 6 this Thursday because of Easter so we won't be able to stay open late for the regular Thursday night drinks. But I will stay open until 9 on Wednesday night instead.

Two's not even a challenge ... they went down nicely, especially with the cheese platter, a toasted bagel and a few friends!

Re: Grumpy's Pub, the Mousetrap, is now serving

A new delivery of beer due in next week and we'll be getting Cornish Proper Job and Admiral Ale back, also 5 or 6 beers from the amazing Scottish Brew Dog brewery, Marstons Pedigree and Old Peculiar and cider...... still finding it very difficult to get hold of English cider apart from strongbow, but we do now have some fantastic Asturian "El Gaitero" cider from northen Spain.

Re: Grumpy's Pub, the Mousetrap, is now serving

New beers just in include 6 of the best from Brewdog, 4 from St Austell Cornish brewery, 4 from Wychwood, 4 from Shepherd Neame as well as Theakstons Old Peculiar and Marstons Pedigree. Over 40 different beers and ciders in stock right now.

On the bar we also have our home made Chilli Pickled Eggs from my own chooks.

Fingers crossed, we may also have draught beer here too soon, Brew Dog Punk IPA and Spitfire. I'll create an event for that night if it all goes to plan!
