Anyone for fudge?

Fudge lovers here should already know that we stock Roskilly's Organic Cornish Fudge but this Friday we have a massive delivery of Radfords Somerset fudge arriving. Flavours include Clotted Cream and Honey, Strawberries and Cream, Vanilla, Crumbly butter, Rum and raisin etc.

We'll be launching this new range with a free tasting at our new "Fudge Factory" stall at the Viadukt Market in Zurich on Saturday from 11.00 - 18.00. We'll be selling the fudge loose cut from big bars as well as in gift packs.

All of our fudge is handmade and uses butter and cream, none of them are made using palm oil. Prices range from between 4.00 and 6.00 francs per 100gr but this Saturday they will be on special offer... all fudge will have zero calories.

Some of the packs are already in our web shop here for posting next week (bagels will be added to the shop in the next few days too, we'll be posting them frozen on Thursday afternoons to arrive fresh on Fridays).

The Viadukt Market is at Limmatstrasse 231, 8005 Zurich, tramstop Dammweg. We will also have some flavours at the HB market next Wednesday (today we have clotted Cream and Stem Ginger flavours from Roskilly's)

And just to tempt you......

Re: Anyone for fudge?

One of the nicest things known to man (except in Swissieland)

You shouldn't have taken such good, clear, close-up pics., though .... I didn't really need to see the crumbly sugar.

Re: Anyone for fudge?

Timow you are joking! For every Scout, village or any Fete of any description, we always made tons of fudge to sell, and this is still the case today around here.

Nope - never seen anything that comes close to even the old Wollies pick'n'mix commercial stuff of days gone by.

I've come across soft creamy caramel, but not really fudge.

I'll have to get my neckerchief and woggle out, and head up in't'hills and look for these Jura small boys with sticky mouths.

Re: Anyone for fudge?

Ah, I defo do know the difference between 'caramel mou' and fudge. Proper crumbly fudge is what we always did and still do, honest.

Re: Anyone for fudge?

How close are you to the train station? We've about 40 minutes there between trains on Saturday and Monday. Is this enough time to do a fly by order?
Oh and does the fudge contain wheat glucose?

From the HB take trams 4 or 13, 4 or 5 stops (depending which door you leave by) to Dammweg (direction Limmatplatz), takes no more than 5 minutes and the market is right by the stop and I'm right by the front door. 20 minutes there and back including a few minutes to taste some.

EDIT... and if you can persuade Zymogen to come on the same train she can bring you here. And make an old man very happy too!

Re: Anyone for fudge?

Thanks to everyone who came down to try the fudge today, the best seller was clearly the Crumbly Butter... but which was your favourite?

Re: Anyone for fudge?

The fudge was/is awesome!! Our faves are: crumbly butter, coconut ice, and rum raisin...although the vanilla is also quite good.

Thanks for this great addition to the market!

A man of iron will you must be, Grumpy, to spend your days surrounded by scrumptious cheeses, delectable fudge, wines, and bagels, among other things!

I must make it a priority to get to Zurich, preferably on a Viadukt drinks night!
