| | Re: CARBONIE - Household relocation company in Switzerland | Quote: | | | | | Just if you look over the site...it says at one point they give that they are officially registered in the canton of Vaud. They then give this number... CHE-253.791.743 as a business number to put into a link they provide as being an actual business registered in that canton. As I am not that experienced in looking this up, I would think an easy link to show that info to be relevant would be provided. So, based on what they provided, and following the links, this is what comes up... help Search running... 0 companies found (on 22.05.2014 at 11:18) [State of: 22.05.2014]
So, what am I doing wrong? | | | | |
Sorry for any inconvenience and thanks for checking our web site! The link is here
In case, if you can't see, type CARBONIE&CO and search.
I will check it and change on the web site in the nearest future. Thanks for noticing!
Kind Regards

Thanks everyone for your interest! If you have any other questions, feel free to ask me.
Actually, how long are you guys in Switzerland? How do you find the life here? What do you like most of all? Is there something that you miss? Do you mostly communicate with expats or with local people?
Kind Regards
Natalia

Probably, it is the easiest way to go. But definitely the most expensive. And first of all we do care about our final clients. Some companies spend a huge budget for marketing and it results in a big increase of prices for their clients. We prefer to invest our budget in improvement of quality of our service.
In the rest it is your choice either to pick up a huge company that has an army of marketers or to take a medium-size company that probably has the same services but relatively cheaper.
Kind Regards
Natalia

For the moment they haven't decided yet neither for the date not for the time. A TV representative called us to check if we have a suitable profile for their emission or not.

Dear expat community, never ever use this company - Carbonie. We contracted them last July to move our belongings from Pully to the south of France. Nice promises when they want to get you - awful delivery. Contracted price for one shipment in the car - instead Carbonie sub-contracted the company called Todan which came with the massive track which had to go all the way to collect numerous shipments, and thus crowded furniture and no respect for valuable pieces; 2 days delay (we had to sleep on the floor waiting for the staff); the huge track could not get into the drive way of the house (although we prompted them once we saw the car) - they had to get a smaller car and load and unload our shipment again, which caused additional delay. No customs paper that the shipment crossed the boarder (so if you want to bring your belongings back you will have to pay again). Two broken valuable pieces - today is March 2016 and we are still fighting with Carbonie as they refuse to compensate for the damages, even everything was properly documented and Mathieu (the owner) promised personally in writing last July that everything would be compensated. If you want to have a smooth relocation - do not go with this company. Need more details - contact me, I will describe the unfortunate journey with them, all the disrespect, delays, cheating with cash, bad sub-contractors - the list is not exhaustive. At the moment I am seeking for legal help to get insurance claim paid.

Natalia, you absolutely do not care about your clients. I will make sure that all expats sites know about the issues they can experience with your service. Since last July until today your company refuses to settle the claim for damaged pieces. This is not what is called reputable and responsible relocation provider. Dear Ms. [Name Removed],
First of all we are very surprised with your comment because we explained everything to your boyfriend [Name Removed] who is legally our client but maybe he didn't mention certain things. Here we are.
When we came to visit your place we agreed to declare all of your goods for minimum value. We explained to [Name Removed] that insurance was 3% of the total amount. For this reason Mr. [Name Removed] declared all of the goods for a minimum price of CHF 100 except the big glass table that was expensive (we can provide this list to whoever wants to see it if Ms. [Name Removed] or Mr. [Name Removed] agree). Because no private insurance were taken we have inside of our Terms and Conditions a minimum coverage of CHF 500 per cubic meter. Mr. [Name Removed] agreed those Terms and Conditions.
Where you are correct is that we were delayed. We really apologize for this issue and to be really honest with you we didn't plan it. This things happen when you have a long time driving and we should have informed you that this risk sometimes exists. When on top of this you mentioned that your chest of drawer had a scratch we decided to immediately reimburse you CHF500 without asking for details. I think we took good care of your move and I don't think another mover would have done something more.
Best Regards,

| | Don't Trust in CARBONIE - Household relocation company in Switzerland
Just an additional review to say this Carbonie company should not be trusted.
Before choosing a company to move inside the city we read some nice reviews from the company, some looked like made by themselves but still no negative posts so we went for them because they were the cheapest ones. BIG MISTAKE
Looks that to be cheaper they sub-contracted a company which, at the beginning charged all small things very quickly, but the problem arrived with the closets, which they disassembled without marking any order and the screws all over the place. They took a very long time and then they had to come back another day to finishing the assembly.
But the worst of all the story is that 2 days later we found by accident that they had broken parts from behind one closet and had put them together in a very bad manner and didn't say anything, which was dishonest but also dangerous, the closet was unstable and could have fallen in one of us or our small kids.
Then the answer from the commercial guy M. Michon, was very agressive, and when I called he couldn't even give us an apology.
So I don't recommend this company, don't try to save money, otherwise you'll have to expend it anyhow buying a new furniture as we have to do (or even worst, paying the hospital bill of a closet falling down on your head).
