Guitar lessons in Zurich

Hello everyone,

My name is Gonçalo Crespo and I've been playing the guitar for 15 years and have been teaching for over 10 years. I have just opened my guitar music school in Zurich and offer courses for beginners to advanced players in English/German (portuguese anyone? )

You can visit my page here: www.zuerichgitarrenunterricht.ch and feel free to come to one of my free trial lessons (even if you're not serious right now about lessons, I'd gladly help out with any issues or challenges you may have). The screenshot is in german, but the site has an english and german version, so no need to be a german language expert to check it out (or have lessons, for that matter )

If you need any assistance with playing the guitar, choosing the right instrument, etc. Just PM'me. I will gladly help you out (free of charge).

If you are looking for lessons for you our your children, just signup for a trial on the site or let me know via PM. I'd gladly walk you through how I do it and how I can help you. If you're just interested in the details, you can always call or just message me.

Have an awesome day!!

Hello Roberta,

The link on the previous post is redirecting to a wrong adress (musicandco.ch). The right address is www.zuerichgitarrenunterricht.ch (as written on the original post).

Please feel free to come by the website and have a look, there's a lot of information there.

What I also suggest highly is that you give me a call on the 079 75 75 63 so I can understand what you're looking for and see how I can best help you!

Talk to you soon,
Gonçalo

Re: Guitar lessons in Zurich

I thought I would come by this post, one year after I originally found it on the forum, and give my honest opinion.

I searched quite a bit for a guitar teacher around Zurich and ended up going with this option, as it seemed to be the more legit one. This is how it went.

In June 2015, I was getting ready for an early german lesson on a Saturday morning, and I continued my search for a guitar teacher after spending countless hours evaluating other options. Around 7am, I found this post and decided to send a quick e-mail to the teacher, hoping for an answer soon enough.

I actually got an answer at 8am (again, on a Saturday), asking if I would be willing to discuss over the phone what I was exactly looking for and expecting from a guitar teacher. We scheduled a call for 13h00.

After I spoke over the phone with the teacher, I was quite curious and and invested in trying the free trial lesson he offered me. The main selling point at this stage was the fact that all his ideas seems really unconventional comparing with the same old sh*t (this is A, this is B, now practice).

When I tried the class, I was convinced. You actually learn two essential skills that make you progress much faster than you are supposed to:
- How to practice efficiently, regardless of what you practice
- How to break your challenges in much smaller components and fix them one by one

Aside from this, you get the valuable insight of a teacher that continues to improve and invest in himself everyday, not just the average joe that knows how to change chords fast. He really pays attention to detail and will know immediately how to steer you in the right direction.

You will understand that in addition to normal guitar classes, there is also guitar training aimed at drilling down at your specific problems and overcoming your own limitations.

One year later, I am much better than I was at playing the guitar but more than that... I am a much better player than I would have been under normal learning circumstances.
