| | Unlimited Internet and mobile subscription, for CHF 50/month (yes, in Switzerland!!!)
Hi all,
Since our arrival in Switzerland some years ago, I continuously improved my mobile and home Internet plans over the time. Eventually, I managed to get unlimited mobile and home Internet for CHF 50/month.

If anyone tried it out, I would be glad to know.
Also, even if you are not in Switzerland, this trick might work as long as you can have 2 sim cards plugged on the same unlimited data plan.
Looking forward to reading your experiment!

Possibly I will sell a book in a near future about "How to achieve financial Independence in Switzerland" but we aren't there yet
I see you are from US/CH. Living in which country? Are you interested in trying out this hack?
Happy reading/hacking |

It is interesting why Orange decided to provide an unlimited data plan without speed limit, because it is the trend almost everywhere not only to enforce speed limit but also to abandon completely the idea of unlimited plans.
BTW, why not just subscribe to the unlimited surf for 35chf then, no need for the mobile+2 sims? You get 1 sim to put in the 4g router and thats it.

At least they're not as locking as Swisscom! And their network is not that bad.
If you take a look at what's done in the US or even in France, they are still thinking the consumers are stupid here in Switzerland. At least their unlimited move is in the correct way - unlike their competitors!

I would be very, very wary of trusting anything a customer service rep says. In my experience they have generally absolutely no idea beyond their prompt sheets, and even those are sometimes wrong.
I can't find the more complete T&Cs anymore apparently, but they used to throttle after 5GB/month. The omission of that legal definition of "unlimited" makes me hesitant.
And I kind of object to the usage of the term "hack". I know it's an apparently growing trend to bastardize the term, but a "hack" involves novel and material modification, typically of hard/software to perform in a an unintended manner. This, is simply using a stock device, plugging it in without any modification and signing up for an openly available contract in the intended manner.
But, good for pointing it out. Far too many people just blindly sign up for the assorted "utilities".

No way would I personally rely on a 4G connection as my sole source of internet at home. *shudders*

The omission of that legal definition of "unlimited" makes me hesitant. | | | | | Indeed, but in case they start to bother me, then I have several ways to 1/ make them keep their promises or 2/ cancel/downgrade my plan because of lying ads (I kept various screenshot of their website + the link of bugger below).
But definitely you're right to think that these people just don't know what they talk about usually.
The other point is that I have a neighbor working at Orange Customer Care and he confirmed me about the no-limit. | Quote: | | | | | And I kind of object to the usage of the term "hack". | | Re: Unlimited Internet and mobile subscription, for CHF 50/month (yes, in Switzerland | Quote: | | | | | How long have you been doing this? | | | | | So far only a few days on my 1Go plan.
I'm currently fighting with Orange to get my plan upgraded but they are having issue finding the "duo pack" tickbox on their system.
About 7 calls done since 2 weeks, and now I'm talking to a boss of a boss of a manager next Monday to sort it out. Hopefully!
I'm planning to write a retro-feedback once I tried it for some weeks/months.
Will keep you posted.
Why the question? Are you interested to try it?

Why wouldn't you rely on 4G? Are you so much addicted? ^^
