| | Sponsors and Advertising for our yodel club
Hi,
My yodel club, Geneva's Alphüttli ( www.alphüttli.ch) , is giving a concert in Carouge on 30th January 2016.
Like many small clubs who try to survive, we rely on the advertising going into our coloured programme for this particular event. Every member has to try and get sponsorship and because I hate doing this sort of things, I got a little "verbal slap" from our Treasurer, as "l'Anglais" (the "English") who has not yet got a single franc in sponsorship, when all the others (understand, Swiss!), have! Ouch, it hurts!
So here I am, doing my bit as an Expat on EF: if you run a business and would like and advert for it in our "Alphüttli" programme, send me a private mail: 1/4 page: 80 CHF - 1/3 page: 100 CHF - 1/2 page: 150 CHF - 1/1 page: 300 CHF. I understood that a 300CHF sponsor qualifies for a free entry to the concert (not sure if this is REALLY an incentive ), I don't know for the others but will ask.
So please support a bit of national folklore in Geneva and help me restore my "dignity" within the group, just to show them! Cheers.
PS: I have no idea how it works for payment, I assume I get your contact details, the wording of your advert and the club sends you a pink slip.

I've retitled my thread, as the word "yodel" really seems to be freaking people out! Can someone put me out of my misery? I just need one sponsor!

There's got to be a joke somewhere in here. Can't you just give the folks at your club 80 francs and be done with it? Or walk into the nearest small business, or a business you support, and ask if they were interested in featuring in your flier for free and you pay their fee?

This would be like sending a cheque to charity instead of doing your sponsored walk...not the spirit!

Restoring your dignity and pride... you want people to pay for that?

Advertising your business in a venue attended by 500 people in Carouge, small scale, I know. I stopped hoping on keeping my pride and dignity the moment I started this thread! Should have known better! | This user would like to thank McTAVGE for this useful post:

You could advertise your favorite charity this way, or you could have a lot of fun making up a fake business/ad.

Ha! "L'Anglais" is no longer living in shame, having secured sponsorship from two local winemakers...shame they weren't EF members! | The following 2 users would like to thank McTAVGE for this useful post:
