English Reading and Writing for Children, Richterswil, ZH

I am writing to introduce my literacy lessons to you. I set up Links to Literacy in 2009 as I wanted my own children to be able to read and write in English and to be prepared should we ever have to move back to the UK. I am qualified and experienced primary school teacher with 14 years experience of teaching in UK and International schools.

I use a highly successful synthetic phonics approach and very soon children are reading and writing words and sentences. I have taught several children who have fitted seamlessly back into UK/US schools and international schools. Children continuing with Swiss schooling are confident learners and often excel.

Each year pupils have three one to one sessions with me and after each one parents receive a detailed report of their child's literacy development.

Classes cost 40 Fr for 90 minutes and include resources, books, photocopies and workbooks.

Please visit my website for further information and to see photos and information about the activities we do.

www.linkstoliteracy.ch

Please do not hesitate to contact me should you require any further information or wish to register your child. I limit the number of children to seven and still have one or two open spaces in the Fun with Phonics class. I look forward to hearing from you.

With best wishes,

Annelise Dohr

Richterswil: English literacy classes for children

Dear parents,

In August I will be starting a new literacy course for English speaking Kindergarten children. It will take place in Richterswil from 1:15 - 2:45pm. I use a highly successful synthetic phonics approach and very soon children are reading and writing words and sentences.

I have taught several children who have fitted seamlessly back into UK/US schools and other international schools. Children continuing with swiss schooling are confident learners and often excel.

Links to Literacy is extremely well resourced with new reading books and up to date resources. Each year pupils have two individual sessions with me and after each one parents receive a detailed report of their child's progress.

I set up Links to Literacy in 2009 as I wanted my own children to be able to read and write in English and to be prepared should we ever have to move to an English speaking country. I am a qualified and experienced primary school teacher with 16 years experience of primary school teaching in UK and International schools.

Please visit my website for further information and to see photos and information about the fun activities we do.

Please do not hesitate to contact me at my email address should you require any further information or wish to register your child.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Re: Richterswil: English literacy classes for children

Dear all,

I wanted to let you know the status of availability for my literacy classes. The new Kindergarten course outlined in the previous mail is slowly filling up. There are currently two spots available so please get in touch if you think you might be interested in this class for your child.

Some members have enquired about my classes for older children. At present I am afraid that these classes are full and with waiting lists. However, there might be a availability for a weekly private lesson.

Thank you

Richterswil: reading and writing class for children

Dear parents,

From the start of February there will be a place available in the Links to Literacy, Reading and Writing 2 class. It would be ideal for a primary school year 2 or 3 native English speaking child who is educated
in local school.

I have taught the children in this class for the previous three and a half years and they are now fluent
readers and confident writers. They are a lovely class of motivated children who are supported well in their learning by their parents.

In our lessons we explore a variety of different writing genres such as story writing, reports, recounts and poetry. Phonic, grammar and spelling skills are also covered. The children frequently present their work in class and creativity is encouraged. We cover many interesting topics throughout the year.

I set up Links to Literacy in 2009 as I wanted my own children to be able to read and write in English
and to be prepared should we ever have to move to an English speaking country. I am a qualified and experienced primary school teacher with 16 years experience of primary school teaching in UK and International schools.

Please do not hesitate to contact me via the contact form on the website (www.linkstoliteracy.ch) should you have any questions or wish to register your child.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Kind regards,

Annelise Dohr
