It's kind of win-win. If they don't sell, he's got bacon to eat! yum.

Regardless, that's steak prices for bacon slices or steak cash for bacon rash(er), however you want to put it.

That's the one which will have crumpets in the assortment soon, righ?
Well worth a trip to Zurich if one can get the cheese, bacon and the crumpets at the same place

My wife is not amused at your post as I am now going on about buying proper British sausages and making bacon butties with HP fruity sauce.

Tell her there are some things in life you just cannot control.

Having said that, I have now massively reduced the amount of bacon and sausage I eat, maybe only one every few months now or less. Actually, I usually substitute bacon for Schwarzwald schinken in my egg and bacon muffins.

Ahhh, what a wonderful offer. Crumpets have a very short shelflife and I'm not sure what customs thinks about importing almost pure yeast? You think this would actually work?
(grumpy, what do you think? You're the pro on this)

I don't think there's a custom's limit on yeast so there shouldn't be an issue there and the yeast content in crumpets isn't actually that high in any case.

The shelf life would be the biggest issue in my opinion given that it takes about 5 days for a packet to get to Switzerland from the UK. If RufusB could find a pack with the longest shelf life possible I think you'd be OK.
