Laughing Lemon Food & Wine is Closing

Hi everyone...

We’re making an important announcement today - - Laughing Lemon will close on September 30th, 2018!

We have been extremely lucky to share 14 years with you - - thank you very much! We are also walking away with some amazing memories and good friends, who will remain a part of our life for as long as we walk this earth. Our gratitude to you – our supporters – is without end!

A special thanks to the English Forum for allowing us a platform to share our business with English-speakers in the Zürich region. I doubt we would have enjoyed the success we were able to attain without the EF...especially in the early days!

Our main reason for closing is timing. We believe it is time for us to move our efforts and focus our energy on other projects. We will continue working with food and wine, but in a vastly different arena. To begin, we will focus time on our plant-based web project (www.myfreshattitude.com) and work tirelessly to bring our plant-based knowledge to the masses in different ways. We hope some of you will join us in our new adventure. We will continue to use social media and various forums to provide updates as we move closer to our official closing date later this year - - so stay tuned for more information.

We will continue to provide our services - - team events, courses, small group events and catering during the next six months. We also plan to offer a number of pop-up events in our kitchen, so please keep an eye on future postings for some exciting opportunities to enjoy some great food and wine with us.

As for our amazing kitchen and space…both the kitchen and the space will be available at the end of September. We are actively looking for someone who may be interested in running their business out of a great kitchen with a great location. We think it would be perfect for nutritionists or anyone else interested in running small food-related courses – so please feel free to share with others! All questions regarding the space can be sent to us directly via our contact page.

We hope we have a chance to see many of you during the next six months as we gently wind down this part of our professional lives. It’s been a great pleasure to serve you…we will be leaving our business with a smile in one eye and a small tear in the other!

Jack

We've really enjoyed the courses we've taken with you both, and enjoyed your company while we were there.

Good luck with whatever you do in the future, and I definitely hope our paths will cross again.

Thank you, Jack and Silvia, for bringing your culinary skills, passion and joy to us!

I have very fond memories of time spent in your lovely loft: Moroccan Feast, pasta and sauces, Japanese evening, chocolate and wine... I learnt so much!

Wishing all the very best with your other projects.

Re: Laughing Lemon Food & Wine is Closing

Your classes have helped us so much. I honestly don’t think I would be quite so comfortable cooking here without all the knowledge gained. And the information about where to go for this or that really helps with integration in a way.

Plus, we always have a great time, and you and Sylvia are the best.

We’ll be following your efforts - my fresh attitude has given us lots of ideas.

Wishing you all the best......but a bit sad too.

Re: Laughing Lemon Food & Wine is Closing

Hello Everyone...

We are ending our Cooking Course offerings in November of this year, so this is the last chance to attend one of our courses before we introduce some changes to our business. We have space available for the following courses in October and November (all in English of course and just added to our schedule):

A Moroccan Feast, Saturday October 13th
Asian Dumplings, Friday October 19th
The Flavors of Sicily, Saturday November 3rd
Bread Baking Basics, Saturday November 10th
Sweet and Savory Pies, Saturday November 24th

Please visit our website location here for more information or to register: https://laughinglemon.ch/courses/schedule/

Can't make it to any of these classes (or others we offer)? Well, you could consider getting in touch with us to organize a private group course. We ask for sizes of 8-12 participants, so if this is you, then we would love to hear from you!

Finally, please stay tuned for some exciting news regarding new offerings and consider signing-up for our newsletter if you are a fan of food in Zürich!

Thanks for all the support during the last 14 years and we look forward to some new and exciting times in the future!
