Hallelujah!! This is great news! Make sure they have enough in stock for a weekly purchase from me
Any chance they'll stock anymore of your cheeses? Being at home to receive the delivery is getting a wee bit tricky |

Anyway, Glausi's are starting with Godminster, Gorwydd Caerphilly and our BIO Stilton and once summer is over and the cheese eating season starts again in ernest they'll be taking a few more.
the shop is:
Glausi's Käsespezialitäten

Our cheese only really works at shops that have, how shall I put it.... a little imagination and lots of passion for quality and something different. Most cheese shops and delis in CH can get a Stilton of sorts and some have an orange block plastic factory made cheddar (which is awful but that is what they think cheddar is). Getting our foot in the door to get them to try real cheddar and other raw milk farm made cheeses can be pretty difficult. | Quote: | | | | | Are they stocking it now? Can you post something in Geneva? I would like a little of everything to try. Does it work like that?

We post parcels out every Wednesday and Thursday, now summer is here we stick to hard cheeses only though that can handle a bit of warmth overnight. We will be in Geneva in October though at the expat-expo.

I can give the owner some information on your behalf, if you like.

Thanks Mrs Doolittle! Just let her know that we only import real hand made farm cheeses, mostly from raw milk - and let her know that Jelmoli stock our best sellers, that usually gives them an indication of the quality!

Is it English or Scottish? Caboc or Kabuck is the old Scottish word for cheese and there's quite a few variations on the name. I'll be back in Bern in October I think.
EDIT: Google tells me it's a Vermont cheddar so unfortunately not available through me (or anywhere in Europe that I know of). But try the real thing (ie from Cheddar itself) and let me know how it compares. I've heard that Vermont cheddar is the closest US cheese to a real Somerset cheddar.

| | Re: The British Cheese Centre of Switzerland | Quote: | | | | | A quick reminder, we will have a British "Pub Grub" stall at the Zurich HB throughout the Zurifest this coming weekend. Our infamous Whisky Rarebits, cheese & pickle baps, Chilli Pickled Eggs and Spaceys fantastic pies will be served to eat there and a good selection of British and Rappi beers and Single Malt miniatures. See you there! | | | | | Soo, Meesta Grapefruit!!!!
My spies tell me that all is up and running at HB, (even though one of my spies can't tell her baps from her buns ) ...

The baps, pies and ale are going pretty well but it's so hot we won't be selling much cheese.

Thanks

Back at the HB today and the Sam Smiths beer went down so well at Zurifest we've got anther delivery arriving at some point today - Organic Ale, Taddy Porter and Nut Brown Ale - they should arrive at the stall around lunch time.
Most of the usual cheeses will be there today and for the first time I have a Lancashire Creamy at the stall. The usual crowd will also be along for drinks at the stall at about 6, come and join them!

I'm at Orell Füssli at Bahnhofstrasse 70 in Zurich again today from 11 - 5. Lots of cheese to try and this time I'm also bringing some Sam Smiths Yorkshire Nut Brown ale as well as wine to help the cheese go down.

Is it Beer O'clock yet, Mr G?
I hope the aircon is working at HB, cos here's currently hotter than two rats shagging in a wool sock |
