Re: The British Cheese Centre of Switzerland

Sorry for not updating you (yes, it's nuts at the moment). As your order came in Thursday we couldn't post it last week as it's likely you might not get it till Monday, and that's a bit long for cheese to be sat in a warm post office. Anyway, it's all picked and will be in the post tomorrow.

Just seen you ordered the Strawberry Gin Liquor. As well as being good in cocktails, try it as a very adult ice cream sauce. You'll thank me later!

Mercury Buttercups. Looking forward the the gin, but that will be a present for my wife. Perhaps she will be willing to share in the experience!

I got a confirmation of payment email as well.

Cheers!

Re: The British Cheese Centre of Switzerland

Shipment arrived in good order, midday today. Thanks for the Hazy Jane!

Any recommendations on how to reheat, or not, the Scones?

Re: The British Cheese Centre of Switzerland

It was a bit of déjà-vous, but no that was about hot cross buns last easter. I don’t think scones are the same as buns ... but I would like to surprise my lovely English bride, from time to time.

So any suggestions about the scones?

Just 5 minutes in the oven to warm them.

Nor for the strawberry gin.

First scone disappeared quite quickly this morning. Mrs Bowlie’s evaluation. “Very Good”, high praise indeed. The others are resting at -18C for special occasions. Funny there appear to be many special occasions in the next weeks.

I have been postponing to drive to my office in Zürich for weeks now. I can't postpone restocking my blue, so I placed an online order. Mike: make it blue, please (yeah, yeah, I wrote that in the notes).

Did you see the link I sent you recently, about two young women here in NE starting a 'Swiss cheese box' subscription? Would there be any mileage for you in these tough times?

Re: The British Cheese Centre of Switzerland

Because of increased demand for online sales this month, I have had to close our web shop earlier than usual.

But I have plenty of stock of cheeses, English Bubbly and Port as well as Mince Pies. Sausages and proper bacon will arrive tomorrow afternoon.

The Viadukt Market is open 09.00 - 19.00 until next Wednesday, Christmas Eve from 09.00 - 17.00 and we're open again the week after Monday 28th - Wednesday 30th 09.00 - 19.00 and New Years Eve 09.00 - 18.00.

Thanks, and have a great Christmas and hopefully a better New Year!

Are deliveries a bit late? I still haven't received the post notification that my order would be delivered.

Bother! I meant to place an order over the weekend but life got in the way and it went completely out of my head.
Oh well, hubby will just have to make do with coop blue cheese this year.

Not in a rush at all. I think I am a bit spoiled by your usual lightning-fast shipping.

I know. I was also intending to purchase a bunch of blue. Will instead treat ourselves in the new year.

Send me an email tomorrow (or with the contact form on my home page) and let me know how much cheese you would like, I should manage a couple more parcels on Monday - I have some great Blues in, Stilton, Stichelton, Barkham, Oxford, Devon, Harbourne, Cashel etc. That's the last day for A Post where I feel comfortable that the parcels will arrive before Xmas. Mike

Re: The British Cheese Centre of Switzerland

Getting back to that lovely Fyne Ales Cold Brew Mills & Hills (Imperial Stout) - it's a lovely drop, and wonderful on tap. Definitely worth a trip to the Viadukt to get some! Just stick to two, at the most ... unless somebody is there to shovel you back into your transport home and ensure you get off at the right stop at the other end. It's 9.5% ...
