Need, must have. | | | | | Lancashire Crumbly is a little difficult, once cut open I need to sell it (about 7 Kg) quickly and I need more Lancashire fans to risk that, maybe next year. I do have Singletons strong waxed Lancashire, would that do for the moment? | Quote: | | | | | Oooohhhhhhh cheeeeeeeeeeeeese
Cannot access your PDF - do you ever have Elmhurst from Sharpham? I love that stuff | | | | | I do have some Sharpham cheeses from time to time but haven't tried that one. I'll see what I can do. I'll also fix the PDF link tomorrow

"We need cheese. "We need cheese. "We need cheese. I'm not entirely sure that I'm even allowed to sell it but I promise I will get some crumbly in the spring.
But if you don't buy at least some if it it'll be the War of the Roses all over again. With gloves off |

I know my eyes aren't what they used to be, but that Union Jack on the Stall in Zürich looks upside down to me! The broad white stripe on the diagonal white cross should be at the top - unless of course, it is being used as a distress signal. | The following 2 users would like to thank Longbyt for this useful post:

Under the terms of the Proclamation, the people of Yorkshire (defined as those born within the confines of the three Ridings, regardless of their current abode) are permitted to remain sitting during performances of the National Anthem (a privilege shared with submariners); they are permitted to greet their fellow subjects with a special salute of two raised fingers; and they are permitted to hang the Union Flag upside down.
Her Majesty, fearful for the disturbing effect upon her realms of the secession and ultimate independence of a Free Yorkshire, made these concessions after a number of acts of civil disobedience made by Yorkshiremen throughout the previous fifteen years, culminating in pitched battles outside several coal mines in 1984 that were later (in a politically desperate example of historical revisionism) blamed on striking miners.
Here is a picture of a Yorkshire revolutionary demonstrating his solidarity with his countymen at a horse trial, by means of the special salute:
Here are some of the Yorkshire insurrectionists burning copies of the hymn Jerusalem:
These were trying times for the nation, and the peace engendered by Her Majesty's Proclamation was a welcome relief for everyone in the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth.
So Mr Grapefruit's flag is not upside down. Rather, it is proudly exhibited by a Yorkshireman in the manner to which he is entitled to exhibit it.
Needless to say, those of us with Lancastrian blood are a bit miffed, but we need our cheese, too, so we just bite our tongues and queue up at his stall, taking care not to look down.
I blame that murderous old hunchback, myself... | The following 6 users would like to thank for this useful post:

However, Ms Byt does win today's prize of a chunk of Shropshire for spotting the obvious mistake.

An excellent job Grumpy.
May I suggest a Yorkshire flag as well for your emporium?

Will you be doing any Christmas markets? | | | | | The ICS Zumikon one day Holiday market on Tuesday 1st December, Rapperswil from the 11th - 13th and Luzern from the 17th - 20th.
Plenty of other one day events at Moevenpick wine and Orell Füssli as well as in Bern on Sunday December 6th - I'll post more details later.
Today we're at Jelmoli in Zürich promoting our 9 best sellers and tomorrow at the Expat-Expo at the Transport Museum in Luzern. All go from now until Dec 24th!

Fantastic! It's great to see, or more precisely taste, some proper cheddar after all that blend stuff you get in coop or migros. You can get the best cheeses in Switzerland, but they just can't make decent cheddar.
After accidentally coming across the thread this morning, I got excited and quickly dropped down to Jelmoli to have a look and taste. The cheeses I tried were great, and the service/insight was way above the Swiss standard . You guys know your cheeses and certainly know how to sell . The apple lavender jelly is simply fantastic. You just gained a new regular customer, and I will certainly spread the word. Are you planning to open a permanent store in Zurich?
In any case, a big thank you guys for bringing this often missed experience to my doorstep!
Cheers!!!

If we commit Michael to one store, so many of us would miss out on his charm and perhaps more importantly, his cheeses.... We can't all get to Zurich or Thalwil..... and Mike has become the master of fairs and exhibitions....
Can't wait to try his cheese next weekend at the Britshop or at Vintage and Vine in Luzern....
Yum.... |
