Re: Man with a van for hire: CHF50 per hour, Luzern area

Dear Man with a Van,

Im a lovely Kiwi lady based for the next three months in The Hague, NL but with household goods still stored in a Hochhaus in Baar, Zug. The lady from the Hochhaus wants me to remove the goods asap and it is about 2-3cubic meters full of a tv, papers, suitcases and a few bags.

The goods can be stored at a mate's place in Pfaeffikon, SZ, but somehow have to get there.

I am very willing to pay 75 CHF an hour if you would kind enough to do the 2 hours work it would take?

First I must make an appointment with the Hausverwalterin to give you the key to the house (she is open on Monday till 18.30hrs and during the week normal working hours bar Friday - she closes early). There is also an on-site caretaker who would be able to grant you access to the storage goods in the weekend.

I also have to make an appointment with the mate, Jose, in Pfaeffikon, as to when he can be there on the receiving side.

Would you be interested in the job and I can wire a prepayment as soon as you let me know? And give all the details of the Hochhaus and my mate?

My number here is 0031642203823 and I am also available on skype with the name lasusulu and email is lasusulu@yahoo.co.uk.

Looking forward to your reply? Please say yes?

Cheers, Theresa

Hello Man with a Van!

I just recently moved to Zurich on Monday of this week. My boyfriend and I are moving into an apartment on Saturday on the outskirts of Zurich and have a bunch of stuff stored in Basel. Would you be available to transport some stuff for us from Basel to Zurich on Sunday or any day around then? Please let me know ASAP if you are still available. Phone 079-825-8020.
Thanks so much!

Re: Man with a van for hire: CHF50 per hour, Luzern area

Just wanted to write how pleased we were with Johnnie's business and help.
He was an absolute life saver. He helped out with all the extra
things we had without a single trace of annoyance. He was pleasent to talk to and meet. I would, without a doubt, recommend Johnnie and use him again.
Thanks Johnnie and see you soon

John helped me this morning with a huge run to the brockenhaus and with my friends couch and dropping off a table an some other things. I cannot recommend him enough for his help, he was GREAT. I could not have done this move without him and I am so thankful.

Hi All,

I used John the weekend before last and he was fantastic.

He was really fast and super efficient at taking the large wardrobes apart and putting them back together again at the new place.

Wouldn't hesitate to use John again.

Re: Man with a van for hire: CHF50 per hour, Luzern area

I needed help with a furniture move last weekend and went to John and was extremely satisfied.

He showed up early and was extremely helpful taking apart and putting the large bed back together. It was basically just him and I for the most part, and he did bear the brunt of the work with no complaints.

John is extremely professional, and as others have already stated, the price is extremely reasonable. I was quoted appx. 20CHF more per hour for the other 'men with vans' I contacted for the move.

If I ever need help transporting again, I will gladly call John.

Thanks again John, and I wish you all the best!

D.

Re: Man with a van for hire: CHF50 per hour, Luzern area

John helped me with a move across town at the weekend.
He was punctual, friendly and efficient.

The new van is certainly bigger than the old one. (I'd seen the old one when a flatmate had moved). The van had blankets, covers, and retaining straps to keep everything steady and protected.
I'd estimated 2 to 3 loads based on seeing the pictues on the website but in the end we managed it in 1.5.

I'd dismantled most things and had them ready to move but John had tools if anything had been needed. (I'm sure he would be happy to dismantle and reassemble furniture etc as part of a move if requested)

Definitely would recommend for anyone needing to move.

Thanks again John. I think Mike will be in touch about his upcoming move soon, I passed him your contact detail.

I've got an another great review for Johnny.

Great service yet again and greater price!

I hardly gave any notice too (under 48 hours) and he had other jobs that he didn't drop (so all customers are happy all round ).

Yet again I am impressed and grateful to him and his service.

Great work Johnny!!!

John is my mate so this maybe somewhat tinted....

He moved me today, 8 cubic meters of heavy stuff, got it all in the van (a little bit in my car) finished in no time at all! Very fair pricing I recommend him to all!

Cheers John, don't forget, will probably need you again end of May

Re: Man with a van for hire: CHF50 per hour, Luzern area

Hello,

Please I need a quote ASAP.
Moving from Luzern to Ebikon( 20min), a 2,5 rooms flat. About 2 a 3 hours work. There is a heavy sofa, do you have a friend to help ? And the king size matress, the rest it is easy and smaller. I have one friend if you could make the move this weekend. ( 11-12/08).
Or during the next week when would be possible ? At night maybe he could help me too.
My e-mail : anaworld@gmail.com

Thanks,

Ana Almeida

Re: Man with a van for hire: CHF50 per hour, Luzern area

This is so long overdue. Johnny helped me with massive wardrobes when I first moved here (and before my family aka husband arrived). He was fantastic, drove over an hour to pick up the items, paid for them himself so I would not have to make the trip also. All on very short notice and during a very busy weekend for him.

Got them into the two floor apartment (more stairs) and was fun to chat with -- what more do you need? I am so delayed in thanking him but would absolutely use him again when and if the need arises. Thanks John -- sorry I was so late in sending my gratitude.

I'm heading back to the UK 25th Sept and am coming back with an empty van so if anyone would like something brought over, then get in touch.
I am travelling back from Luton/Hitchin and heading south to Dover.

Re: Man with a van for hire: CHF50 per hour, Luzern area

Hi,

We chatted a few days ago about going to Zurich. I cannot PM for 1440 minutes sorry. Could you PM me your email address so that I can send you mine with my Tel No please.

Well, I have found some furniture in Lucern happily. Are you available between the 10th and the 13th to collect a bed, wardrobe, bathroom cupboard etc from Luzern to Luzern city centre? If it could be in the evening, after work I would be so grateful.

Also, you said you were a handyman - do you do tiling and changing of light fittings at all?

Many thanks indeed,

Sharmeen
