Hi John,

We're moving to Aargau on 01.April.2017, just a few pieces of furniture, nothing big. I know it's short term but would you be available? If so, I'll PM you the details.

Thanks

Re: Man with a van Luzern + Zurich area from 60CHF ph

Well, I have 2 friends in Zug who moved a few months ago using the White Van Man. They could tell another, cautionary tale.

My first friend relocated back to Ireland. When she looked at her stuff she found that a valuable mirror and an expensive glass table had been broken. She also noticed that a box containing Swiss chocolates and biscuits, that she took back for family and friends, had been opened and some of the contents had been devoured. She would like to have heard what WVM would do about the damage, but hasn't heard a thing.

The other friend moved within Zug (only a few hundred metres) and had a number of items broken or damaged . Somebody previously mentioned insurance. This guy says he has it, but that is probably a load of old waffle.

My friend pointed out the damage to him and he said he would look into getting some of it fixed, but suggested glueing other things together! So in the belief that this smooth talker would keep his word, he was paid in full (in cash, with no receipt, which would appear to be his modus operandi). But true to form, he did nothing but disappear with the money.

Both my friends regret being so trusting of the WVM. He clearly runs a business, which pays scant heed to normal business practices. In hindsight, the name White Van Man should have been a warning sign!!

Bottom line is. If you've got anything valuable to move, don't use this man!!!

Hi, the guy that said he'd come never came -

I need 2 people to help to switch a heavy bed in one bedroom to a second bedroom and a sofa bed from the second bedroom to the first. The bed has drawers in the bed stand so quite heavy.

It's a bit urgent. Kreis 3, Zurich. Interested? If so when and what prices?

Hey Lampwick,
many thanks for the message you posted on the thread.
I am sad to hear of your 2 friends and the damage that was caused however I am in no position to help unless I am contacted. Nobody from Ireland has contacted me regarding damaged belongings and to suggest that someone devoured some chocolates or biscuits is quite frankly ridiculous, sorry. I can reassure you 100% that WVM does indeed have insurance that covers any damage caused by us and I would ask your friends to get in touch with me regarding the matters and to make a claim if indeed there is a claim to be made. The forms are in my possession and can be requested at any time by our customers.

I think I can say hand on heart that after doing this in Switzerland for nearly 10yrs that we take as much care now as we ever have done and have a pretty good reputation for fairness, competitive prices and flexibility and we handle peoples goods as if they were our own. Unfortunately sometimes things do get damaged due to the nature of the business but I think the 5 stars we have on the thread means that incidents of this nature are few and far between and people are generally happy with the service they receive.

Happy New Year

John

I can highly recommend https://whitevanman.ch/
John and Ivo are professional in every way.

They transported a sofa I bought second hand. From the seller to me.

Once John and Ivo unloaded the sofa they helped me move all my furnishing around. And brought old A/C unit for recycling.

I am grateful for helpful multi skilled men. I will definitely have them back.
Kari

I'm pleased to see John's busines is still going strong.

I used him about 5 years ago to bring various items to Spain and I was 100% satisfied.

He was totally reliable and also very helpful.

I may have some more stuff to be moved later this year(but shorter distances) and will definitely by asking John again.

I have an English plated Toyota van with me here in Switzerland and am looking to put it to good use while i have it. It is Transit size and is perfect for furniture removals/house clearances/pick-up drop-off etc etc.
I am based in Luzern but am willing to travel anywhere in Switzerland where needed.
The cost of the van + loader/driver.... basically me, is 50 chf per hour which i hope is a reasonable rate. This rate includes my time to drive to destination and time to complete whatever work needs doing. My drive back to Luzern will not be charged to you.

Private message me for any quotes you might need.

Thanks

John
