Re: Crap Apple Support

You must have done something wrong.
Apple NEVER makes mistakes. This is also the reason why their support is limited: if you make superior product then you don't need it at all

Re: Crap Apple Support

I am confused .. if someone used your apple itunes account to purchase the "Legändä and Hälda" (from Bligg by the way), wouldn't you have this song and all of the other apps and songs that the other person purchased on your iphone now?
I used to have an ipod and made purchases on itunes I then bought an iphone and all of the songs I bought on itunes for my ipod are on my iphone now.

The only way, security could have been increased more, would be by removing my local admin rights, but XP, and I may need to change network settings when at a customers location means, it was not an option, otherwise they would have done it too.
Well, there is a lot that can still be done.
First thing would be to not access the internet from the laptop directly.
Instead, using a dedicated VM for this purpose (and only this purpose) will increase security tremendously.
You should use a 2nd VM for iTunes exclusively, and another one for intranet-sites etc - data-sharing can occur via a number of write-only/read-only shares.
That way, a drive-by download that infected you when you visited a games, warez or porn-site (or a site where the owner got his credentials for his web-hosting account stolen and the site subsequently modified to serve an additional, invisible iframe with the same purpose) will not be able to ransack your PC for those very credentials.

Just because that placebo app some people call "Anti-Virus" detected nothing doesn't mean there really was nothing.

The card was credited to my account in March, and there was a purchase on 16/9, for a few apps and 2 songs. One of them was "Legändä and Hälda" which I thought was swedish for legends and heroes, but turned out to be swiss german rap. I could see in itunes exactly what was purchased, but i did not have a recepit for the purchase, and thats why i did not notice it until several months later. They probably sent one, as they normally do, but i guess it was caught by the spamfilter then.

Doc.
OK, so the account got hacked and you didn't notice.

Seems like it's a good idea to use up gift cards quickly.
