I mean, you can't go ringing doorbells demanding to see people's underwear

Why not? - now there's an interesting concept.

A retail shop I worked at years ago ( back in the dark ages ) had a problem with...yes... people stealing underwear ( honest ma' it weren't me ) and it eventually became apparent it was an employee ( honest ma'....) so one of the asst. managers ( honest ma' ) suggested an "underwear check" at store closing.

they actually did this for at least one week... after shop closing employee's would have to line up and show their waist bands of their knickers.

thankfully someone came to their right minds ( honest ma' not me ) and stopped this before the American Civil Liberties Union stepped in.

Re: Drying room thief!

I lived in a tiny village in Somerset for a while and the pervy landlord was always taking our stuff. Me and another girl scared the life out of him one day by wearing our sexiest underwear and coming out of the bathroom when we knew he was in lech position, we told him we'd go to his wife and complain. He nearly had a heart attack!
