Re: Bad wedding day experience at a beauty salon
To expect a great wedding hairdo, without a test run and without much experience with that particular hairdresser is just waiting for a disaster here. I have seen some really strange creations here, and costing more than 200fr, not flattering those faces at all, epsecially ladies, guys are usually ok (unless that thick Tom Cruise hair on the neck is left there, ick). You have to be customer savvy here, you can find a great hairdresser and pay less than 100fr, or you can find an attrocious one and pay 300fr. He knew he made a mess, so he charged you only 60fr. Did you tell him it was for a wedding? I would have gone there afterwards, with photos to tell him how you wanted to have it done and telling him how disappointed you were. He won't get better unless he hears some feedback, you will feel better than if you just vent over here. If you don't feel like going through all of this again, just shrug it off as a learning curve. Next time, go somewhere with references, or go with a friend that can not only translate but also watch what that hairdresser is doing and comment on his/her work.
