You forgot to add the automatic renewal of gym memberships. Then I think we're covered with the most popular and ever-recurring complaints

How do we even all survive | | | | | Hehe, don't laugh....I did the same mistake few years ago. I signed up for a gym membership without actually reading the whole contract (specifically not the small print) and was quite puzzled and annoyed when the next bill came - being convinced I signed for a year. Then I called there and those guys were kind enough to understand I was a stupid foreigner. They let me go....truth is I explained I moved quite far from that place and my family circumstances don't allow me to drive 30 km just for an hour of gym. They argued their case offering child care, which was nice, but still couldn't agree to renew my Abo. We agreed to end our collaboration amiably..
I didn't come here to complain because I knew it was my own stupidity at fault and was ready to pay what I call life lessons tuition. I was lucky, or convincing, or they were just nice. Yeah, how do we all survive....

I was with a similarly "clueless" friend and happily chatting with her and filling the forms, signed it, took it home, put it somewhere "in a good place" and then forgot about it. I really had no excuse I could justify at least to myself and I knew it.

Hope you feel better now
Otherwise I'm sure there's a plane to free-soda-refill-land soon. Seeing that this seems to be a priority.

I sorta detect a little sarcasm or irony in that post.

Hi roegner I see you're still on this thread - a while ago I posted about a non-smoking trial at some Swiss train stations and it included Zurich-Stadelhofen, well guess what - the trial is over and the station is formally non-smoking now.

But Nyon is still non-smoking inside the blue lines.

It is my main complaint in this country. Boggled at how many people smoke with their kids in stroller/strapped into baby carrier. Should be criminal.

But, like, how do people actually become active members? I feel like I'm trying to get started here and all people want to talk about is how I have less than ten posts. Yikes. I don't know how to magically go from zero to 11? Is that the magic number?

So this seemed like the right place to comment. But apparently no. So please, would love insight/instruction in to how I can appropriately participate?

Nothing much until today so why the sudden urge to participate? | | | | | We lived here, years ago, when I opened this account. I couldn't really figure out how to master this forum, and was working full time, so quickly developed a social network that was super helpful if/when I had questions. So started the account, but didn't really know enough to add value. The we left and moved home for a few years. We moved back here about two years ago, and my H and I are talking about a lot of things we didn't have to think about back then... buying property, etc, so I came back here to see if there was any good info. Quickly realized that this forum was a lot more applicable to me now, and I might actually have some insight to add now that I'm not a complete clueless, newkid. So was scrolling and thought I'd try and chime in.
So do I qualify to use the forum?
