I never knew. I thought you were a grumpy old Swiss man who hated foreigners.

Hissy fit: a term used all over for quite some time.
Personally I like "conniption fit". HTH.

So writing "Can we replace the jury" in reply to "The jury's out" is neither a 'hissy fit' or a 'conniption fit'.
It's simply a retort or a come-back and certainly nothing to warrant Urs Max's (sic) response.

Much preferable to 'hissy fit' which still sounds a girly thing to say.

But, we at least try to understand redneck-speak.

Tom | | | | | Maybe you’ve been away too long, but rednecks are not just in the southern US. They are all over the US.

| | Re: Smoking on the train platforms.uughh | Quote: | | | | | Is it me or can no one else take the smoking here? Why is it allowed to smoke on train platforms while waiting for the train. The smokers aren't even polite smokers. Always have cigarette smoke blown in my face and stuck in my hair. I can't take it anymore. I get caught before I can even get to the warm "non smoking room". It's making me crazy! | | | | | In Switzerland money is spent on several more than needed stuff, why not create smoking booths in the platforms for the smokers and non-smokers live together happily forever with each holding human rights close to their chests | This user would like to thank SarcasmXXL for this useful post: | | This user groans at SarcasmXXL for this post: | |

| | Re: Smoking on the train platforms.uughh | Quote: | | | | | Smokers aren't being subsidized, they are subsidizing the non-smokers!
You do realized that the price of tobacco is about 90% tax, don't you?
Also, since smokers die sooner, they are LESS of a burden on social security, retirement, AI, etc.
Tom | | | | | Yes, also me and my kids receive tax free, free free smoke and also will reduce burden to social security, retirement, AI, etc. as passive smoking is 5 times more harmful | This user groans at SarcasmXXL for this post: | |
