Re: Never take your snowboard to migros for a service

In honesty I prefer the Legacy to the Premier. I had the T5 for the first few seasons and I suspect it hindered my development. It is a noticably stiffer than the Legacy - and when the surface gets really hard I found it less stable and also less mobile.

However, on the powder it was out of this world - amazingly stable and capable to amazing controlled turns. The Legacy is good - but it feels like a 9/10th board on the really deep stuff.

The Legacy's real strength, for me, is its ability to work better the harder you ride it. You don't edge down an icy black on it, you hit it hard, you work the turns and the board responds - as the speeds and steepness increases - the board just bites harder and more consistently.

I think I may have gone a little OT.

The legacy used to be a wider version of the premier, now its the SL.
Regarding the T5, thats a board you take up to Alaska. Probly the worst board one can learn on. Stiff as a 2x4, kinda like my premier. Despite its age its still stiff, almost impossible to butter and despite its park un-friendly sidecut I can still boardslide rails (dull edges). Put it in powder and its in a league of its own. NS does make some of the dampest boards out there, but as you said, they dont wake up until you kick them in the face and hit the nitro button. And for the really deep stuff your going to have to work hard, no matter what board you have. (unless its a 177 fish tail) I used to work in a boardshop that sold NS, Burtons, Option, Ride, Nitro and nothing rides like a NS. Once you ride one its hard to ride anything else, but at the same time they are not for everybody. Mostly people who go slow
