Hard fact of life: men have more prostata trouble than women. So unfair.

Er, no.

However, the suggestion that we keep educated women as our personal serving wenches, obliged to provide us with our every salacious need, in between making cups of tea and bringing whisky to bed might be shocking...

... to everyone else but me.

I say, it's time for a change. I say, let them give us money. Let's live off them for a while.

Before you bitches brand me a sexist pig, it's from the movie, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels. All similarities to my real life opinions are purely coincidental.

more to the point where are the REAL women? you know, the ones who know how to cook, clean and take care of a household? women who want to have children instead of trying to out-macho men in the career race just to prove that they are 'equal'. women who don't believe that their life should be an entitled life of leisure and shopping.

it's a pretty sad state of affairs when men can cook better and cook more often than women.

Re: Where are the REAL MEN?

I didn't know Mathnut is a sex kitten!!!

Sky-- What I mean by feminizing today's boys was that (and I can only speak what I experienced in the US school system) that there is a conscientious effort to force boys to behave more girl like. In schools teachers seem to be perplexed how to deal with boys who behave like boys. Studies show that in schools girls are quieter, pay more attention, play gentler games...etc. Boys are louder, more likely to get bored during lessons, play more aggressive games. That is a problem for teachers because they'd have to be more creative in teaching. They would much rather force everyone to behave the same. Now days the kids can no longer have a snowball fight on school grounds because it's "violence", notes are sent home to the parents because the boys were playing soldiers, kids get suspended because they're kids and they're bouncing off the walls. I am not against rules, they are necessary of course, but it's also necessary to except that boys and girls behave differently.

I wouldn't call it feminization of schools, I would call it preference to certain types of students (although feminization defo happens, too many chicks out there). It is good you write about this. It's not really about girls, I do not actually think it is a gender issue, it is about system preffering a certain type of a pupil who will behave in expected and stereotypical way (be it a "girl" way, or a shy boy, timid child irrespective of gender). Because the system is lazy to positively discipline and make kids move, not so practical all the time. In the end, most of those students are girls, so they get good grades basically for compliance, good behavior and cooperation (and teachers cut them a slack in science, etc), or it's the rough kids (usually boys and here and there a chick) who cause troubles, but they get good grades usually typically for good academic performance and bad grades if they don't cooperate, not if they do not perform intellectually (that is almost expected from them, as in math). A super stereotypical teacher's prejudice. Unhealthy, innit. I wouldn't say it is a stereotypical gender thing although it looks like it. It's a little more complicated. In my opinion the way out of this (and kids who were treated by a prejudiced teacher will offer their expected success and good behavior, instead of intellectual achievement, sadly, since that's what they have been trained for) is not to fall into these stereotypes. Treat equally, support, ban violence but offer enough opportunities to burn off energy and be successful intellectually, help kids "manufacture" their own success, growing kids have high physical needs to move, games are important for learning. Never expect sheep behavior, quiet kid does not mean a good kid, kid should voice their opinion, dare to make mistakes, help eachother, etc. Sorry I got into a spiel, I work with this every day. Today I told kids I was flown between ZU and GE by a female captain pilot, the first question was "were you afraid, madame?", hahaha.....

Too many rules, laws, do's and not do's, duty descriptions,... in modern societies (specially big cities) make people too cautious and not responsive.

Yup, slapped by an angry South African feminist 20 years ago for opening a door for her. Her comment was that I was treating her as less than an equal in assuming that she could not open her own door. I was speachless for about half an hour!
In the spirit of true equality you should have slapped her back ?

Why sad?

To me, it just means that I'm a great cook, and that I have the time and desire to do so.

Women who do those things, who prefer to give priorities to the family instead to be career oriented are critised, are laugh at by other women. They are been called weak, no ambitious and lazy.

Since you don't bring money at home, what you do as house work isn't important nor have any value.

Maybe this is why you don't find them easily, housewives have a low reputation...

I can't remember when and where I saw this but it was a documentary about boys and girls educations. They decided to split the both gender and their specific group and it was amazing how both group were much happier. Girls with girls, boys with boys. Each group had their educations build on their skills and specifications of genders.

Both group were very successful and had great results. At the beginning, the school was critised for doing this but people saw the results coming out of it so quickly and with no doubt of their success.

Why? You don't need any female body parts to cook. (in some cases, some of them will actually get in the way..)

And yes, I need to out-macho men in the career race. Not to prove I'm equal (now that would be aiming low, wouldn't it? ) but to buy my Le Creuset pots to be a real woman and cook. They're expensive!

I have some Le Creuset stuff, but as a REAL MAN who cooks, I much prefer my Lagostina stuff!

Of course, I can afford to pay for them.

Up to individual taste, of course, they don't match my kitchen decor.
But you are certainly very smart or lucky if you can pay for things without ever working.

you replied with "Of course, I can afford to pay for them" to my comment that I have to work to pay for the stuff. Therefore I assumed that you wanted to say that you don't have to work to afford them. Or what was the original idea then?
