Number barring with Orange

Been getting 3-4 missed calls a day from a German number +49 341 414 527, no voice message, nothing. Looking it up on Whois, it seems to be the South German lottery cold calling and is generally considered a right royal PITA. OK, I thought, no problem, I'll just add it to my blocked numbers list on my phone (Nokia 5800), except the feature doesn't exist. No problem, I'll do it through my Orange account options, except that doesn't exist either. All there is, is some advice on how to deal with nuisance calls etc and NOTHING on barring numbers. Seems they don't mind spammers using their network. Surely one of the most basic options for a mobile phone, yet it doesn't exist. Maybe I'll try to call them instead. Is it the same for Swisscom customers?

Re: Number barring with Orange

Why not take one of those calls and simply leave it open.

I think if you contact the provider, they may be able to block the incoming number but will not want to. You might have to escalate it to someone who knows what they're talking about.

Temporary workaround perhaps a custom ringtone of no sound, perhaps?
