Bad experience with ecoleint

Although I was expecting a high level of education services in ecoleint, my surprise was to find that the level of academic education is really low and children who are not considered "rich" are very badly treated by so called teachers. As an advice: make an appropriate research before registering there.

I couldn't imagine that at this kind of school, there could be such a bad treatment for some children.

I cannot detail publicly because the admin already deleted the thread. It is strange that we can say we had a bad experience with the hairdresser but we cannot write that we had a bad experience with a school.

Do we have to get the story from you bit by bit or are you going to spit it out?

My daughter is on their waiting list.....
I went and visited the school, talked to some teachers - not impressed.
truth to be told, they have such a long waiting list that they don't put too much effort into it - if someone decides to remove his kid, there are many other waiting to get in.
Definitely, overrated !

Yes, you are so right. They simply don't care if you don't like this or that aspect, they have others on the list; but it is really anti pedagogical. I'm happy my kids moved from it. It is an experience but should be kept short sometimes. What is crazy is that you pay but you don't have any say.

Re: Bad experience wit ecoleint

My sister went there (assuming it's the ecoleint in Geneva - otherwise everything that follows is irrelevant) in 1971 and it was a dump then.... Spoilt brats with too much money, disinterested parents and everything that ensues. Needless to say there was no respect for teachers either. Maybe things haven't changed much in 40 years....

Thanks, I should have ask the forum before being on the waiting list and have my kids enrolled for one year there. Yes, it is ecoleint in Geneva.

You don't appear to be able to express yourself as an adult, let alone a parent. You already had a thread deleted that started the same way.

If you have coherent, substantiated facts to relate, please do so. Otherwise you just appear like another weirdo...

Re: Bad experience wit ecoleint

The message I sent about the explanation was deleted.
I already mentioned that ecoleint proved to be unrespectful towards some children or parents.
Why someone cannot tell about his/her bad experience with ecoleint ? Is there smth that bothers you ? Sorry but I am interested to talk to parents having the same issue or to give an advice to others in order to avoid useless waiting lists. If you don't like this thread, please do read another one.

What bothers me is what you have written so far tells me nothing. If you have a genuine gripe, let's hear it - otherwise don't waste our time...

Re: Bad experience wit ecoleint

I saw your first thread, but it must have got deleted before I got to read anything substantial.

I am interested in your experience as I have a child in one of the schools and I am not too pleased with it. Which school did he/she attend?

Can you describe your experience in a neutral informative way? Perhaps the admins will allow for open discussion with constructive, but not negative criticisms.

i can tell you in the private message, but until the admin is not authorizing me, I cannot publish it here.

Re: Bad experience wit ecoleint

I have no idea what happened but I am a teacher and know that at times things that happen in schools can get blown completely out of proportion... so my advice is take a deep breath and if you are still not happy with the situation then change it, it's not a public school and you must have other options so investigate them, best of luck, children, all of them are precious and deserve the best

Then I assume your message must have broken one of the forum rules. If you can't get your message across without breaking the rule, then I'm afraid we can't help you.

Thank you, this is what we finally did. We changed the school after one year because the situation was unbearable mainly for the children.
