On a far too constructive note: Most Chinese restaurants are more than happy to offer a la carte instead of the buffet. Any half-decent menu would have some vegetarian options and they shouldn't be 25CHfs.

P.S: Is the newby the type of person that might coincidentally google things on life in Switzerland for newcomers? Just saying...

I am not going to troll your post Porsch.

The one with a problem is that girl. She made a ''Doodle'' (we learn somethin' everyday) and she didn't put any restaurant choices. At the end, when everybody agreed, she comes up with a place and a price without asking opinion on THAT matter.

Now, if you don't want to go for whatever the reason, it is your own business. She has no rights to scream at you

nor giving you an attitude and making you pay by taking care of her guy.

Tell her to F**k off and that's the end of it.

Now go on that website and order those balls!

Porsch, explain to the "newbie" that you'd decided against going, explain as much as you like and perhaps offer him the opportunity to go with you to lunch someplace more to your liking.

Who knows, maybe 25chf is a bit steep for him for lunch as well and he'd appreciate having a different option.

That's exactly what I did. I explained the whole sorry situation to him in an email and said if he wants to still go I can introduce him to the other people that are going so that he doesn't feel left out.

Just to confirm that the girl who everyone is calling a bitch wasn't the one who was organizing this

So this broad forwarded it to the newb.

Clearly inform her that there was a misunderstanding and that she should not be disrespectful.
You're not obliged to go at all. On the other hand sometimes it's better to go with the flow if it helps create a peaceful environment.
Even if this means calling the restaurant ahead of time to ask whether it's possible to have a vegetarian dish.

I am self employed since 2007 and i know its not a laugh, regardless of it we all need to joke around about it, that or start crying, not sure what i am closer too right now. (regarding the business ,not you,don't flatter yourself)

No big issues with my company but like everyone its hard to find customers, and be competive compared to the bigger players on the market who are backed up by a fat cat company with loads of money.

I am backed up by my own wallet and hopes, yet 4 years later i am still on the market, many who said i wouldn't make it the first year.

My appologies if i have offended anyone that can't take a "funny " remark, it will never happen again - Offending message is removed
