| | Blooming Florists! (Valentine's day delivery gone wrong...)
I never bought into the "commercial-romantic" Valentines stuff. But this year, having a distance relationship for work reasons for the first time in five years, I thought it is time to do the big spender thing and order a flower delivery to the office of the wife on the 14th. She being in some funny Asian country, I compared websites for a long time to be sure to end up with an as-trustworthy-as-possible vendor. Obviously the ones with the nicer website cost more. And on Valentines day, that would be twice the regular price... oh, you want a delivery before 6 pm? That would be some extras in delivery charges... all fine and I end up with a three digit price. Order runs smoothly and I get som many confirmations from the shop "order arrived", over the payment provider "order arrived" back to the shop "devliery is confirmed"... it all looked expensive but professional.
And what happens? Nothing. Nothing at all. Tried to call them up on the evening of the 14th - no answer. Send an angry email - no answer. Try to call them up again - "the voicemail of the number you have dialled is full". Send another email and ask for an explanation with a threat to call my credit card company - no response.
Got a bit scared about the credit card thing and called Swisscards anyway: "We did not receive any booking".
WTF? If you want to cheat, ok. But you guys don't even try to cheat me, you simply do nothing!!! Except of ruining my surprise...

Now that's really mean. You were in to surprise her and they ruined it. I would sue them (that is, if you can get hold of them) Strangely enough they didn't even charge you, so it wasn't money they were after.Maybe they get a kick out of imagining how angry and frustrated their customers will be....

I give them them the benefit of doubt and guess they are simply completely incompetent losers.

I avoided any such disappointment or complications by not bothering.
Oh, I bought a hastily scribbled card.

Was it interflora??
Florists in that funny Asian country are generally reliable on normal days. But since people in that country seem to place alot of emphasis on VDAY (dont ask me why!), everything goes bananas. The freelancers they employ as extra delivery help sometimes dont show up, and they're screwed.
Sorry to hear about your unpleasant experience Trev. Moral of the story? PM people from that funny country for recommendations | This user would like to thank summerrain for this useful post: | |

If you are easily offended, please look elsewhere."?
Is it only me or did EF lately get more fluffy than in its worst time?
