Restaurants, bars, bus, trains, there are all... dead! Unbelievable! I've been here in Zurich for 4years now and can't believe how this city is quiet, snobbish and borring! Look at people on the street: they're isolated in their own life not wiling to chat or joke with anybody. The only moment swiss interact with you is when you listen to your music too loud over you ipod... in the bus! Quick! call the police, we have a very important issue to care of... Ouf....

yep now I need music from my ipod in order to survive bus rides... Only a consequence of what I see around me...

I again and again talk with complete strangers here with folks in shops and on transports, .......... and I do NOT listen to people about music

Just look at buses in the outer suburbs in Paris ! or the Metropolitaine of Paris downtown . Nobdy cares about the details

Matlat, if you’d look at your reflection in the bus window you wouldn’t think "now this is a self absorbed guy, isolated in his own life, listening to his ipod and looking out the window avoiding any contact with others" etc, you know you are not like that. All the other people are persons too, you don’t know where they are coming from, what they are going to do or what is in their minds whilst sitting on their seats. It seems a bit ignorant to think of them how you described it. Maybe that’s taking it a bit too far and I get how you can feel like you said, but it does not do any good for you or people around you. If you are in this mood too much you’ll find that the next idiot to confirm your negative thoughts about the place is just round the corner.
