Re: My fake Louis Vuitton contraband was seized at Geneva Airport's Customs

I bought a lovely jacket a couple of years ago. I was cold, hadn't brought a jumper with me, so I popped into a second hand shop and bought the first jacket that fit properly. It cost me 40 CHF. This particular one fit very nicely indeed (I'm fat with relatively short arms, being so much more evolved than most people), so I started wearing it almost every day.

I think I'd owned it a month before I thought to look what make it was. Upon inspecting the inside pocket, I discovered it was made by some chap called 'Hugo Boss'. I've been led to believe he is a designer of some note.

Does this mean I'm gay?

I do hope not, as my wife would be terribly disappointed.

Well, I did try it once with a gentleman and didn't like it very much.

In my defence, I was very, very drunk...

No not gay. But Hugo Boss did manufacture the uniforms for the Nazi Schutz-Staffel (SS). I know a number of jews who refuse that brand because of that reason. Peta boycotts certain brands because of their use of animal parts. And Natalie Portman recently said she would not have anything to do with John Galliano for his recent Hitler tirade.

Like many people who refused to go into a Starbucks because of the support of the jewish colonisation...

But you still avoid to explain yourself...

I thought I explained myself well enough. Are you trying to ask me if I am homophobic? Well, some of my best friends, relatives and family members are gay, and so can't say that I am. I happen to think most gay men are a LOT neater than straight men, and I like neatness.

And I think Swiss men are a LOT neater than other men, but sometimes it gets taken too far.

That's because I heard a statistic that 2 out of 3 Swiss men are closet homosexuals.

Clothes ... aren't really my cup of tea, but I wouldn't condemn those who wear them as 'mindless'.
In fact when it comes to members of the opposite sex I would consider those who refrain to be very mindful.

Hugo Boss did not only manufacture the SS uniforms, but also SA, HJ and most of the Wehrmacht - so pretty much all uniforms in Nazi Germany. From a fashion point of view are they indeed well cut... as this young gentleman demonstrates. To prevent any discrimination, I chose an Asian model...

No I don't think you are homophobic but I wish to understand how you came up with the straight men wearing clothes designed by gay men is funny, mindless, etc.

I just don't get it. How this should affect someone's wardrobe...

Hugo Boss are still very well cut suits with broad shoulders to give the wearer an Uebermensch presence. It is favored by some power lawyers.

I can understand why a concentration camp survivor might be livid at seeing Hugo Boss suits. The uniforms of soldiers had such a huge psychological effect on their victims.

Re: My fake Louis Vuitton contraband was seized at Geneva Airport's Customs

Did Hugo Boss design or just manufacture the uniforms?

Because for most Tailors around that time it was probably an order that would have been hard to refuse.........

See? This is why fake LV bags are a bad idea; look at the controversy it causes. And surely Godwin, in his D&G attire, would have clicked the "closed" button long ago.
