To say the truth - the Nazis have driven innovation in many fields in engineering that are completely normal for us. It is pretty impossible to avoid any Aspirin or anything made of synthetic rubber. Every car tyre is based on Nazi German developments...
Bayer patented Aspirin before WWII (well before WWI in fact). A lot of Bayer's financial problems that precipitated the founding of IG Farben were due to the loss of trademark rights and the confiscation of their US assets during and after WWI.

Similarly, Buna Rubber was pretty much developed before the war - though the Nazis drove up production rapidly to supply their war machine.

Comments on designer's sexuality, body shapes of models or other stereotypes will not help readers with confiscated counterfeits that are stuck at the airport and are facing legal fees and other penalties. Back on topic, please.

Oh, right. The topic. Good point.

Basically, if it's counterfeit, it probably didn't cost much, so get rid of it before entering customs in Switzerland.

I bought a lovely jacket a couple of years ago. I was cold, hadn't brought a jumper with me, so I popped into a second hand shop and bought the first jacket that fit properly. It cost me 40 CHF. This particular one fit very nicely indeed (I'm fat with relatively short arms, being so much more evolved than most people), so I started wearing it almost every day.

I think I'd owned it a month before I thought to look what make it was. Upon inspecting the inside pocket, I discovered it was made by some chap called 'Hugo Boss'. I've been led to believe he is a designer of some note.

Does this mean I'm gay?

I do hope not, as my wife would be terribly disappointed.
It means you not working for the SBB-CFF

Evasive as ever, eh, Phos?

Never mind. It's obviously very, very important to know that the people who design our clothes are gay.

After all, gayness might be contagious. You might catch it from a D and G t-shirt, mightn't you?
No but by wearing it, he might think you are in fact, gay!

Some time ago we had a discussion about a woman dieing as a result of having fake boobs fitted. Maybe it was the customs that did her in?

Yes, I might suspect it. But I would be certain he is a fashion victim.

But it is, afterall, better to be gay than a fashion victim.

Gosh you are judgemental! Or you obviously have a very limited understanding of what is it to be Fashion Victim...

But one way or the other, you are very judgemental...

Well, I'm very opinionated. There is nothing new about that.

A fashion victim is basically someone susceptible to fads and materialism, if we are talking about the same word.

Re: My fake Louis Vuitton contraband was seized at Geneva Airport's Customs

I've reread the OP's original post and she definitely did not say anything about anyone being gay.

I'd be willing to bet they would seize contraband stuff from hetereos, gays, bis, hispanics, Jews, Catholics, Africans, Brits and whoever/whatever else.

Maybe children are exempt. I'm not sure on that.

sometimes it's better to keep silence and have the benefice of the doubt on our intelligence than to speak and leave no room for ambiguity.

So THAT's why rim sizes are in inches!

Tom

P.S. Strange, I always thought that Charles Goodyear was from my home state, NOT Germany.

Hey, she asked. I'm only responding.

Anyway, I think there was an attempt to get this thread back on topic.

One brand name shirt here and there fall hardly into this category. To be a fashion victim, you have to have a whole wardrobe of brands and only brands. And no having a personnal style but just copying what is out...

As long as you don't know what is in the wardrobe of someone, you can't put the name ''fashion victim'' on the forehead for having a shirt, a bag, sun glasses, etc...

Okay, I totally get it. Some of you have invested considerable money on things with the D&G logo. That is totally fine, as far as I'm concerned. I'm not putting you or your stuff down. I just made the observation that it is ironic when the giant D&G logo is found on some people.

Keep your stuff, and no, I am not judging you, and no, I am not gay nor homophobic.

Fashion victims!
