I thought Maybach made the engines fitted to the Tiger I ?
Sure. They made pretty much all tank engines of the Wehrmacht.

And the company belongs since 1960 to which group? Who builds today "Maybach" cars?...

Re: My fake Louis Vuitton contraband was seized at Geneva Airport's Customs

A friend of mine was as your situation and also got a fine of 200CHF at Zürich airport last July. She just had paid it because it is the Rule.

The engine in that Tank had nothing to do with Mercedes Benz. Conversely Mercedes Benz had nothing to do with the engine in that tank. You infer otherwise.

Ok. If you go on I will get all Wolli for you: The Tiger was build by two companies. One was Krupp, the other Steyr-Daimler-Puch. The "Daimler" part in the second name refers to the stakes Daimler-Benz had in it. Not sure about the very tank in the picture, but a fair share of Tigers were therefore made by a subsidiary of Mercedes. The Maybach engine company, today renamed to MTU, was merged into the Mercedes group in 1960 and is still owned 100% by Mercedes-Benz today.
But actually it doesn't matter. Merceds-Benz is well known to have aggressively and openly supported the Nazi war production and got a lot of benefits from the era. From plane engines to command cars did they produce pretty much anything else in the army. So if you do not like the tiger tank:

- Messerschmidt Bf 109 (The D and E models)
- Heinkel 111 bombers
- Plenty of various "specialty vehicles" SDKFZ, for example the 247:

About 30000 POW and forced laborer worked for the company in the 40s. I think it is therefore fair to say that the history of todays Mercedes is worse than the one of Louis Vuitton.

I don't care how many red blobs you give me or how anal you get on this: company "a" builds the thing, company "b" buys company "a" and keeps it for 50 years: Company a is part of the history of company b.

Same story that today's banks like the UBS (or CS) is still considered "responsible" by most for the Swiss banks that decades after the war became the UBS.

It's ok if you disagree, but you can really calm down a bit.
