if you can't, then just leave, and find a better place that suites u!!! | | | | | Nice, so you are telling our bulgarian and romanian friends on the forum (yes, there are) that their countries are crap.

I can't believe this thread is still running & there are even some proper riff-raff contributing such rubbish that doesn't help in any way. As we already had the OP a few pages back saying how helpful the answers have been, isn't it time to move on? | The following 5 users would like to thank for this useful post:

Foreigners in Switzerland who complain about being here are simply self-pitying. They deserve all the bashing that can be dished out them. There are many who dream of being here. Get yourselves a backbone and do something about your situations. Get lost and leave if you cannot manage yourselves. Switzerland is crowded enough as it is. Make room for those who have something more positive to contribute.

| | Re: Damn I hate this country | Quote: | | | | | The quietly contented have peace at mind, and have for no reason what so ever to complain, "poor me i need some attention", as they are enjoying life to its fullest. as well, able to accept when something has gone wrong.
god grant me the serenity to accept the things i can not change, courage to change the things i can, and the wisdom to know the difference.
so try and understand what you can do, to make the world a better place instead of complaining, complaining is easier then telling some one what they did good.
think of one good thing you can tell some one today, and you will receive a nice smile in return. | | | | | Cannuck, have you ever considered using a good poetry forum?

| | Re: Damn I hate this country | Quote: | | | | | hey man, you are in a foreign country, no matter how long you have been here. The swiss have the right to complain in their own country, foreigners dont.
same if you have a wife, you can complain bout her, bout if some one else does, you will bash them in them head.
and if you say that's wrong, then i don't know what planet you come from
pack up and leave, get the fxxx out, but i know why your here, cos the money is better then in your home country of origin. | | | | | Did you learn BS reasoning in school? Everybody who contributes in a way to Switzerland has the right to complain about it, as Switzerland is not only formed by Swiss (only the voting part).

| | Re: Damn I hate this country | Quote: | | | | | if you can't be happy where ever you are, may it be CH, Canada, USA, get the fxxx out and leave. | | | | | Why are you being so aggressive about it? Life isn't as simple as you would have us believe. People have family or work commitments, they can't just throw in the towel and give up when the going gets tough.
The OP has already said that the advice given in the first two or three pages was helpful and has helped him see a little bit of light at the end of the tunnel, yet here are you and Phos, several pages later, being rude to the OP for the crime of being unhappy and venting amongst - so he thought - friends.
As I said before, a smidgen of understanding wouldn't go amiss. We can't all be happy all the time, and life in a foreign country is often difficult, frustrating and hard. Why kick a man when he's already down?
Cut him some slack. If you don't want to hear someone complain about Switzerland, perhaps you should avoid complaints corner? | The following 10 users would like to thank for this useful post: | | This user groans at for this post:

do you have a swiss passport? have you done military service? military service is contributing. if you don't, no you can't complain. the swiss have built their own country, and by contributing no you didn't, they paid you money to work here! and you pay taxes so you can use, like we all do. you choosed to come here.

| | Re: Damn I hate this country | Quote: | | | | | Lets use this to get all frustration out with this hole of a country.
I hate every single second i am here,
I hate the people
I hate the system
i hate the police
I hate everything about it.
you get ripped off every single second you are here
yes you earn more but prices do not equate that into buying power
yes you might say, move the hell out, well current situation does not allow for that....so no. If I could I would be long gone and NEVER come back to this HOLE. | | | | | I wondered last night why this bothered me LESS than many another rant or criticism on EF. Then it came to me.
It reminded me of myself in the menopause. "Just keep out of my way today kids. Whatever you do is going to be wrong".
Or, depression. It doesn't help to be told that the sun is shining when there is a thick blanket of fog over ones head.
Or, of our youngsters' reactions when a day seemed very grey. Teachers were unfair, the best friend wasn't talking to them, it was raining. They'd left their yellow jacket at school and the blue one had been forgotten at a sports' competition last week. The music teacher moaned that they hadn't practiced and now Mum was on at them and all they'd done was traipse in a little bit of mud...
The very fact of listing everything one hates is, to me, a sign of momentary, but total, frustration.
Maybe in a month or two, maybe the next day, things will look different. But at the moment the OP doesn't want to be told that everything is wonderful and he should be grateful. He's not even looking for solutions - there aren't any anyway.
I don't want solutions, I want sympathy - or, perhaps, humourful reactions.

Time to call it a day on this one, folks.
