microspot.ch

Hey All,

I bought a 22" monitor last week and I am very dissapointed with the service of this website.

I tried to contact them with the request forms they have available in their webiste, I sent two requests asking for an estimation when they think they will be able to shipp this article but no answer.
I tried to call them but their phone customer service is only available from 9am till 11am in the morning.
This morning I had to call several times because all their customer representative are busy and then it directly hangs your call with no option to wait in line.

Well... in the end I am able to contact them and they tell me my monitor is pending of supplier and it will take at least 3 weeks to arrive but they were not even 100% sure if it will be within the next 3 weeks because they couldnt guarantee when they will receive it from their supplier.

The monitor is already paid and I was not informed at the moment of purchase about these time estimations. I ask them to cancel my order and they will send me an email with the instructions about how to get my money back. Hopefully it will be Ok but I am quite disapointed with the service.

Cheers,
Jacobo.

Re: microspot.ch

Yeah, I bought there couple of things in digitec and their service and prices are quite good. It is my first choice but sometimes you dont find exactly what you are looking for or some other webistes can have a speical promotion.

That it is what happened to me this week with a Media Player. Pixmania.com the CH had a really good offer. Digitec didnt have it available so I ordered in the swiss version of this website.
I paid for the total amount including shippment and taxes for a total amount of 240 CHF.
Today I received the package with an extra bill of 37 chf for import duty and taxes.
The package was sent from France.
How it is possible if I buy in the swiss site from the website I am extra charged for that and what is even worst why they didnt say anything at the time of the purchase.

Re: microspot.ch

I too would avoid microspot. I discovered that a cinema system I bought from them was actually a grey import, which the official Swiss LG distributer would not touch. Microspot asked me to send them the faulty device (whistling in one of the speakers) and they had an independent specialist look at it. He diagnosed that the whistling was within specs.. WTF? The whistling is actually a common fault on this particular model (plenty of forum evidence) and in the UK for example LG are repairing or replacing them.

Long story short, avoid Microspot unless you're getting a worldwide warranty.

Re: microspot.ch

Uff!! terrible ... In .toppreise.ch you see so many website that they are exactly the same engine but just with different logos. Not sure if there is a professional infraestructure behind them.
Regarding my issue today with pixmania.com (ch site).
When you are ordering there you are not buying to a swiss company. It is just the french site transltaed to the local languages. You must paid the import duties. Despite the web is presented as it is local when you choose the delivery method in small print it indicates you have to pay the import duties. No estimation about how it would be and at the moment of doing the payment is not mentioned.
I think Pixmania cheats in the way it presents everything. It is very annoying. I would avoid them at all costs.
Regards,

Second that.

I have bought most of my PC stuff there, and the prices are good, information of availability is kept up to date, and delivery speed is very impressive.

Had a Roccat Kone mouse that i had to return as the scroll wheel broke, and this i had to wait 3 weeks or so to get resolved as they needed to send it back to the supplier, but it was eventually solved and i got a brand new mouse in return so no complaints from me.

You were NOT charged by the supplier but by the Swiss post-office. And it most likely was CHF 35.-- handling and 2.-- VAT. Those who sold you the stuff most likely did not know this, and not even where the delivery would come from.

Postal customs clearance for items up to 500 CHF in value is CHF 18 and 35 CHF for items valued above 500 CHF.

Re: microspot.ch

Here I report another bad experience with Microspot. Short story: BEWARE. Long story: Read below:

I bought a laser printer from them in November, which had several (around 6 defects) on arrival. Pretty much everything that could have been broken was broken. I contacted them next day and asked for returning it. They provided me with two choices: exchange or contact Samsung directly. Since there were so many things wrong, I preferred a printer from different company, so I requested them for a coupon and I will buy another printer (of higher value). They said OK on phone and said they will send me a return label. They took 15 days to send the return label after multiple phone calls. I promptly sent it back the same day (20th december). I gave them time for Chrismas and called on 6th January. They could not find the printer! Post had delivered it on 27th Dec. Anyway by 26th Jan they found the printer. They said they sent it to the appropriate person who will contact the manufacturer. While that had nothing to do with the refund, at that point I had given up and bought a new printer from Fust physical shop.

Today I contacted tham again asking for status of my refund coupon. Now they say they have sent it to manufacturer for repair. I am absolutely disgusted by them, so in the interest of my blood pressure, I just give up and count the 200chf loss. I will NEVER buy anything online in Switzerland.

Re: microspot.ch

I guess like every on-line shop there are good and bad reports and I guess the bad ones are just unlucky. I have ordered many things from microspot and not once had any problems.

Re: microspot.ch

Avoid Microspot at any price. I bought a NAS from their website and was expecting to receive it 2 days as mentioned on their site for that product. It eventually arrived more than 2 weeks later. I called their helpdesk several times in the meantime with no success. Staff was quite rude and never told me why my stuff was so long to come.

Very satisfied with Digitec on the other hand.

Re: microspot.ch

Things have improved slightly in that they now have a showroom in Dietikon where you can collect your goods, and also go back to rant if something isn't right. I bought a telly from them last month (Happy hour Deal) and it has been fine so far.

FWIW, bought twice with microspot without issue. I guess I was lucky.
No issue with digitec either though.

Re: microspot.ch

My OH ordered a set of headphones in early January as a present from them. They showed FIVE in stock. Guess what, no stock.

Waited a month (including a follow up on our part) for them to finally say the headphones would arrive in APRIL. We cancelled the order. At least the money was credited to the credit card.

Re: microspot.ch

This week I had contact with both microspot and digitec

Regarding microspot.ch, I ordered a BRITA filter pack on Monday and found them yesterday in my mailbox. Microspot send me an email, that "the package has left the building ", gave me a package number - I would rate them 5/5.

The other one - digitec.ch - on the same day(Monday), in fact, 5 minutes after the BRITA filters, I ordered a laptop from digitec and got "the package has left the building" today. So it took the microspot less to deliver, than it took digitec to process my order!

I ordered more items in a bundle and paid immediately for all of them All of this has happened Monday evening.

Microspot is one of the largest and cheapest online stores. At the moment the send everything for free. On the other side, customers are more likely to share negative rather than positive stories. I guess for every problem, that you describe here, there were probably 100+ deliveries, where everything went fine, which gives them a satisfaction rate of 99%+
