Nope. After the 10gb data transfer i will have 34 speed the rest of the billing period. which is now my case until the 6th.

Have news for you!! (not that you were sitting waiting)

Since the day of my post, I started calling sunrise everytime I got downsized to 34kbps because I used more than 500mb data transfer (almost everyday). They kept telling me
Sunrise- Frau CoCo.nails you are using way too much data transfer
I- kept remainding them it was exactly why i hire that service, because they promissed 10gb at 750speed and after 10gb i could still use it at a 250speed... blah blah blah. I told them I wanted the service they offered but, from 250 to 34 its a big difference etc. I ask them all the time to either offer me normal internet at home and cancell my account and the answer was always the same: Frau coco.nails you have a contract with us until the end of december and until then you pretty much need to 5uck it up and deal with it.
Today my dear friend (all this time i was being transfer to english speaking people and my friend could talk in swissgerman with them as she is swiss) Talked with a guy for almost an hour and the end result was still the same but he primissed he will make a report about it and send it to higher level (all this time i was asking for that and "it was never posible").
So around 2 hours later i receive a call from sunrise to offer me 5000 continuos speed all month (normal internet) inalambric modem included, phone line, phone included, free calls after 5pm and all weekend long to housephones in switzerland and i will stop paying the usb stick but i could use it if needed for 3chf per day of use, no cancelation contract, etc. all for only 39chf per month, how about that?? i was paying 50 chf for the usb
So happy news for me today!

I just got off the phone with another representative of sunrise and I was told there is no evidence I will ever have what I was told. Now my question is Who called me to offer such plan?.. well the answer as the lady on the phone told me, its a company who works for sunrise and they did call me, but they didnt make any change. And here I am waiting next to the letter box waiting for a contract that will never arrive.

Is there a company that you can call to complain about this kind of things. Im still amazed Sunrise can make me sign a contract for 1 year that offers me at least 250kbps (normally 750) of internet regardless of who many data im using and 2 months later downsize it to 34kbps and I can do nothing but have a crapy internet and pay them 50fr per month.
What if I hire Cablecom for 300 channels (just making it up) and after 3 months they will just give me 3 and I will still be able to do nothing but feel this frustration that have even got me in tears (crying not about the internet but for feeling so helpless that a company can do whatever they want). And its not worthed to pay a lawywer, nor i have the money anyways, for this. because with a lawyer i will only make them cancell my contract without paying the cancelation fee, if succeded, and the lawer rate is like 500fr per hour and the cancelation fee 350fr.
In Mexico there is a Consumer Office and if you are not happy wuth the service you are getting from any company they will get involve, to make sure you are getting what you are paying for, does switzerland has such office?

Always send cancellation notices well before the cancellation window via a recorded delivery letter. Keep the post office receipt and check on the Post Office website when the letter has been signed for - and keep this confirmation somewhere. Then phone their helpline to confirm that your notice has been received taking a note of the name of the person you spoke to.

After that they don't have a leg to stand on.

I emailed him directly and explained the situation, and said I was even willing to pay the remaining 2 months on the contract plus one additional month if they would cancel. I told him how rude the agent was to me. Within 20 mins of that email I heard from one of his direct reports that my contract was cancelled effective immediately and that my account balance had been wiped clean. It pays to complain.

So dig around and find the name (took me all of 10 mins) and write them......see what comes out of it.

Its unbelievable how you can hire a service just by phone and to cancell you need to go trough a way full of obstacles. Its so unfair for the customer. Why switzerland its so poor in the customer satisfaction area?

I guess if the customer had to jump through hoops to sign up for something they would look for a more competitive alternative without the hassle. Once they've sucked you in you sign up for whatever is in their terms.

Unfortunately, contractual faffing about and sub-standard customer service doesn't seem to be confined to Switzerland.

Exactly, how can we bring to the atention this is an important matter. Why for switzerland this is not important? For example my husband is swiss and he see how much this is driving me crazy (not for the internet itself, but because I dont like to be treated that way for a company, I like to get what I pay for) and he just say, they change the rules, accept it. This atitude is in general the atitude I've seen also in swiss friends when they complain about a service and I ask them if they are going to do something and they say no, its just the way it is. A friend of mine went for vacations to thailand and came back with a 2000 chf bill, he didnt do any call and he proved because was like calls of miliseconds and he ended up just paying and thats it. he is still with that phone company.

Swiss customers tend to accept high prices and subpar services … in my experience, however, it is not just Switzerland where the telecommunications industry does not much care for customers, especially 'fair use' clauses are very common.
