| | BBQ or something... I can't breathe!
Usually I'm not one to complain about what folks do on their off day but O.M.Goodness! I can NOT breathe.
Well, obviously I actually CAN or else I would be dead instead of typing this.
BUT
It started with a heavy fuel'ish-plastic'ish smell and has changed to charred meat smell. My asthma HAD been under control enough that I wheezed barely at all even with 8 trips up and down 5 flights of stairs the other day (at one hour intervals mind you)... now I'm coughing and wheezing just sitting here.
I shoulda closed my windows earlier. | The following 2 users would like to thank Peg A for this useful post:

Have you thought about moving a little further from the radiator? | The following 5 users would like to thank for this useful post:

Try and take your asthma medications(well i am not a doctor )..that is if you are not taking it. And it could be allergy...but being regular with your medication will help or prevent any attack that my be trigger by pollen allergy. We are in the season and any strong smell can also contribute to worsen situation already caused by pollen allergy

It was bad enough that I was looking around outside to see where the big fire was. Thankfully it's cleared up though, was only that bad for about 45min, the breeze blew it away, so all is good now. |

It reminds me of that party in Michigan the evening before one of my flights across the Atlantic. I didn't pay attention to the beans in the delicious soup. Now how do you burn off six cubic feet of gas in a cattle class seat on a night flight?

Considering I was the only one home at the time, I'm unwilling to remark upon any possible connection for fear that it would be misconstrued. | This user would like to thank Peg A for this useful post:

The fuel to jump-start a BBQ is eh, a really stinking chemistry. Just wonder what's the meat after-taste smoked like that...

I never was aware of the asthma matter until a good friend died in a hotel room in Seattle in the late 1980ies, actually choking to death of an a.. attack at midnight. We all here were deeply shaken when getting the news .... So please be careful.

I was in the same situation a couple of days ago. My sun screen trapped the fumes from a grill on a balcony below. BBQ produces toxic fumes like carbon monoxide. Carbon monoxide is lighter than air and rises. You don't have to suffer from asthma to be affected by this.
