A tip for 3G iPad users with Orange Internet Everywhere Day (CHF 3.50) subscription

Turn on your Airplane Mode or Turn off your Cellular data.

I got hit with an addidtional amount of CHF97.20 for bandwidth transfers which my iPad automatically makes to the internet, even though it's connected to my home WiFi network.

Maybe a dumb question: Is the 3.50fr per day charged regardless whether you access internet?

e.g. In a 30-day month, you will be charged 115fr (30x3.50 + 10)

No, the whole point is to pay only on the days you use it, and nothing on the days you don't. But it only makes sense for people who use it sporadically — above 11 days usage a month, the unlimited plan is cheaper.

If you want to use it daily, get a flat-rate plan instead (that's only 49 a month for unlimited, or 29 for 1GB/month). See http://shop.orange.ch/en/internet-su...nner&ac_src=op

Now i realise how stupid my question was

Anyway, Sunrise have a 6-month offer on the unlimited 49fr/mth package but you have to take out a 24-month contract. They also charge 40fr for the micro-sim. Here

Orange also have the 49/mth unlimited deal but do not charge for the sim: Here

Does anyone know if there is an unlimited plan from UK mobile providers? The best I could find was the Orange 3Gb plan for £15/mth.

yes three and O2 do good deals on data but the coverage depends on where you are. I learnt that Tesco mobile actually uses O2 Masks as well, so you might want to take a look at that.

All of these will do PAYG models.
