Well thats all well and good. I agree that we should all do something to save trees or whatever.I just don`t see why a large corporation can save itself a tonne of money by stealth and not pass it on to the customer.

And yes I probably was asleep because I naively thought that Swisscom were genuinely an OK company, but I reckon there have been some changes at the top, which is why I posted the thread.

You complaint has been solved though. So stop complaining about something that is your own fault.

My complaint is not about getting bills on time. My complaint is that a company is reducing costs at the expense of the consumer without being honest about it.

What expense to the customer? Because you have an amount under arrears every second month?

Does this get registered at the office de persuits and you had to pay a fine for it? Or did you just not pay one month and have to pay the double the next?

You have never heard of companies going green, being "environmentally concious" then? You know, for the greater good and all?

By the way, it's still capitalism. If you can make more money by spending less, you do not pass it automatically to your customers. But if you want to open a socially acceptable, non-profit company, please do go ahead - I'll join!

Expense to the customer in the fact that as every customer is expecting to be billed monthly as set out in the terms and conditions and that isnt being done. I am finding out 3 months after the month in question that it hasnt been billed and then it appears on an arrears statement.Im not a lawyer but i bet that can be sent to a poursuite office if they chose to do it.
The whole point is that the terms for the client are being changed by the company to suit the company without checking whether as a contracted user, that it suits the user to do so.

Re: Swisscom Billing - someone changed the policy

If you are unhappy with Swisscom's service, you could change to another provider.

I changed to Sunrise as soon as I had the opportunity and never looked back. Before the market was open to competition, Swisscom just gouged the customers (and they still have my last mile connection unfortunately) and treated them like any monopoly would do. I've seen very little evidence of any improvement of their customer service (nor any change of their monopoly behaviour). Sunrise did politely warn me two months in advance that they were encouraging e-billing and that the postal fee would be charged for paper (BVR) transactions. So I switched. Plus they always had excellent multi-lingual customer service including English from the very start.

I had the same problem. When i went to speak with them, they said they would fix it. But they never did.
