Well if you are living alone alone and nobody can hear you the burglar will know that now too and since he went through your belongings he knows you're a single woman(? is krish a woman?) so he might as well come back when you're home...*shudder*

I had my wallet stolen out of my backpack at a bar yesterday afternoon. What a pain in the butt!! 120 francs, the barman just shrugged his shoulders!!

I have been burgled before and it is horrible. Just thinking that some grubby little hands had been through my things made me physically sick. I think my washing machine was on 24/7 for about two weeks. That was in Scotland and they did catch the thieves, but we didn't get anything back. They even stole my nephew's Peter Rabbit piggy bank with a total of £1.50 in it.

Super sorry to read of you recent woes. Karmic justice will be served on the offender! I wish you an abode that is safer than the previous, as well as a new renter's insurance contract. And yes, renter's insurance is tailored primarily to covering loss due to theft.
