What's the problem?
Well if he had the balls to confront them instead of involving third party people against a coffee (which can create negative image towards them, even though we have no evidence it's true).

Also, there's no need to "cry" or make it as a huge scandal until he confronted them.

For me it looks a bit cowardly. Posting your wrath on a public forum without confronting them first...

I know!

Wally's in the park Cybercafe to report on public forum that the toilet people did not let him in because he had no money.
(it's always easier than confronting them).

oh great another set of whiners...

PS: Be a man and go there to complain to them instead of "releasing your anger here". Talk to their manager, make a scandal!
Well, this forum is "Complaints corner", what else did you expect?
People singing praises how wonderful life is? Citing lyrics from "we shall overcome"?

I did try to call them. The first time, they simply hang up on me without saying a word. I called right back and their action was to simply be silent.
They didn't hang up, just waiting , I could hear them fiddling with the phone. Spineless.

I've not read any of the above posts but, if I understand correctly, Wolli was in a cafe and he assaulted somebody?

Tsk. What is the world coming to?

Re: Cafe Wollishofen, xenophobia

Bassiq, I can sort of see where the Café owners are coming from.

You must concede that it is fairly cheeky to go into an <insert establishment here> and ask to use something of theirs for free. I'm guessing you are from the UK, as am I, and it is heavily frowned upon there, unless in case of some medical emergency etc.

I have been caught short a few times myself, and it just takes a bit of politeness to work around this situation. Don't go in and say "Can I use your toilet?". Say either "May I use your toilet if i buy a coffee / bottle of water", or if you are really in a bind and can't wait til you get home "I'm very sorry, but i've not been feeling well today, may I use your toilet". Chances are they will say either "Yes, if you buy a coffee, you may use it", or "Oh no, it's ok, go right ahead".

It isn't your right to $hit wherever you like, and so you have to be polite to the people who are going out of their way to help you out. The purse thing is a bit odd, but the 'xenophobia' probably isn't, as they'd expect their local clientel to be more polite when requesting free use of their facilities.

Suck it up, I doubt it is worth your while to get involved with authorities / the manager etc. Just don't go there again. Especially if you need the loo, but don't want to pay anything for it!

Bassiq, I think the underlying response is because if you have posted your first post simply to put one over the Cafe, its bad form.
Its expected that a new arrival on the forum introduce themselves first before getting going. (im not sure i did it right which may explain my baptism of fire) anyhow there you have it so if you intend to continue on the forum then be a good chap and say hello to everyone .

Well, as I mentioned in my recent post, I did try to call and discuss with them.
They simply hang up the first time, and the second time did the silently waiting routine on me.

I am a coward?
Oh please.

How would you in your infinite wisdom classify their behaviour?

Whoever "Wollie" is, I hope he/she's good at comforting my crying wife.
Look, not wanting to sound like an insensitive wrench but regardless of which country you live in, as long as you are not a local or of a different skin colour/religion etc, you will meet these pathetic life forms we call Xenophobes - that is according to you, what the ladies are. I personally think its a little cheeky asking to use an establishment's toilets if you arent a paying customer. Heck, you need a PIN code in McDonalds to use their loos and its only available on their receipts when you buy something. I wouldnt expect any different from a cafe in Wollishofen.

Whatever it is, the trick to dealing with these poor excuse of human beings is simply to move on. Not pleasant when you encounter such things of course, but those two ladies probably would have forgotten about the incident already and are carrying on with their lives, whilst you are presumably fuming behind your computer screen and your wife is crying.

Get the big picture?

Re: Cafe Wollishofen, xenophobia

Well great then.

-Record them and make a scandal to their manager when it's crowded with people.

-Go there make scandal to their boss

-Fax them to try to reach the boss instead of the "middleman"

-etc....

You have everything on 1st topic:
Name, location, size of the owner's penis, etc...

Just in case.

So if you feel going to a place full with racists, people making prank jokes on the phone, etc... go there.

Neither myself or my wife thinks it's our "right to ** wherever" we like. Furthermore we are certainly not the kind of people who "don't want to pay anything for it!" .
But if we end up in a situation needing some help, we don't expect people to insult us and having us showing the contents of our purses.

Well! If youre a bloke carrying a purse in Switzerland , you can expect a little "extra" attention. Ask DB!
