My favorite was during my driving training here the teacher told me that I should drive on the sidewalk to make a right hand turn when the traffic was backed up behind a light After that I knew the rules were a bit more relaxed than I expected.

Well it's better that compared to how it's done on the highway...
you are in the left lane passing some trucks doing 130km/h, and all of a sudden you see a "fancy" sports car lying 1 cm behind you...wtf is that all about?
...at least they don't do it as in Germany, blinking with the headlights like crazy, hence here they use their blinkers...
Hasn't happened to me yet and I go on highways frequently. I'm much more annoyed by people who stay in the left lane, barely faster than the vehicle they're passing, and not going back to the right lane for miles and miles .....now wait a minute...
