| | Crazy insane Roommate
My new roommate who just moved in February has gone insane. We are talking more then bi polar disease. She walks around and bad mouths us when at home she tries to be sweet. She always asks when are we leaving to find she has been in our room. We lost the room key, but we set shoes behind the door. When we come back from the weekend the shoes are always against the wall. She has complained to the LandLord, Saying that I stay all the time here at the apartment. We got a letter Now the contract is of my fiance and her. The problem is she verbally agreed that I can stay here 3 to 4 times a week. As she brings strangers when we are not here and the apartment is all furnished by us. Now we have to file a grievance against her and possibly find a new apartment or call the police and file a breaking and entering after we stated that she has. She has stolen my English Books and also my deodorant to prove I live here. By the way she has a psychiatrist, she takes pills, pulls her hair, wears 3 kilos of makeup and is chunky for a tiny girl. All while she walks the streets telling everyone she is not a bad person and she is not Paris Hilton but hates the world and hates her ex boyfriend for leaving her because she is brainless.
there you have it
What should I do?

Firstly, whilst I have sympathy for your plight, I think it's unfair to start labelling someone who, from what you state, is having/has ongoing mental issues as insane. There are all sorts of mental conditions from which she could be suffering and which does not make her insane just because she's going to a psychiatrist.
You say the apartment contract is between her and your fiance, so where do you stay when not there? I am assuming you don't have a place of your own, otherwise that would be the answer to your dilemma.
The best thing would be for the two of you get your own place soonest and, if you can't be together in the meantime, for your fiance to move elsewhere as an interim short-term solution, if possible.

She is not bipolar, she is bullying you out of the place. If you have signed something, then you must find a justification how she broke the contract and put her on the street, or you have no written agreement and you just put her on the street.
Going to the landlord and complaining about her, asking to be on your side when she's put on the street goes without saying.

Yes I am a Life Coach, We will be moving during the summer. She has come to me for help and I have helped her. She has been suicidal and also takes medication for her situation. In her case I can not help her. A life coach is to help someone reach their potential, their goals. Thats a life coach. My fiance and I live together. She attends Law school. So we are 3 days at a certain spot and 4 days at another. Due to the distance of 1 place or another we have this agreement until she finishes which is in january. We have all the proof and so forth.

You might be right, but you won't get anywhere because you're mixing up facts (inappropriate behaviour and actions) and her physical appearance.
It just gives the impression that perhaps she might be the one feeling pushed around by the two of you, especially if you are mocking her as you are here.

I work all day and never see her. My fiance goes to school and works so we both end up getting home around 10.

pmartins, do you not think that you are being more than a little insensitive in posting about this person, knowing about her problems and suicidal tendencies? It is very very clear that she has numerous personal and emotional problems and it would appear that she came to you for help ... I see little evidence of your having actually helped her.

Nicola,
Until you have your key from your room stolen from the apartment while you are taking a shower. Items in your room stolen and now a notice from the Landlord saying that The contract is broken. She is trying to leave the apartment without paying fees. The rule of thumb is until she finds someone to replace and my fiance approves. Her parents wont let her move because she has to pay for the summer rent. So they wont let her move out. So she figures to complain saying the situation for her is unlivable. That is a red flag in the contract where she has agreed and signed for visitors. She complained to get the Contract torn up and she goes away a free bird

And what I also see is that you have come onto a public forum to villify her. Had it not occurred to you to contact her parents/the landord/whomever to try and settle things amicably?

I am sorry for your difficult situation and hope you can resolve it quickly.
On a different note, I would advise being a bit more discrete about someone else's medical conditions on this public forum. | Quote: | | | | | She has been suicidal and also takes medication for her situation. | | | | | | The following 7 users would like to thank jfd134 for this useful post: | |

pmartins, this is obviously a very serious issue for you (what with all the groans you've given out and all) so it makes perfect sense that you did, of course, immediately run to an irrelevant website and post a thread under "complaints".

First of all, what the heck does her weight have to do with the price of fish? If she was unkempt and caused the place to smell, ok, fair enough, but her appearance has NOTHING to do with your issue. So zero points there.
As for the rest, you're not very clear, to be honest, but if someone is suicidal, then you refer them to professionals and make sure they are safe. Nothing else is appropriate.
