Where do you go to complaint about a Doctor?

I recently had a bad experience with a physician. My visit lasted no more than 15 min and I still didn't get answers to my questions. To top it all off, I had to listen to sales pitch on 'juiceplus' products that I was not interested to hear. I decided not to pursue treatment with him and cancelled any follow ups. Now I've received a juicy bill and I ask...for what??

The search function is your friend:

Where/How to issue a formal complaint against a doctor (Lausanne)

p.s. welcome to the forum

What exactly do you call juicy? I'd say up to 100 CHF, just pay and forget about him. The normal price is not that far from that figure anyway. Otherwise, complaining is not exactly the easiest thing to do here. People just pay off and have a black list. You could also go to him and ask for an explaination of every Rappen/centime of the bill. Take a big dictionnary so that he doesn't have any way out. You'll see what it is exactly and if he drops some of his claims or not.
But once again, I would pay and forget.

Re: Where do you go to complaint about a Doctor?

You just go seek a second opinion (as we all do) and complain to another doctor about your dismal experience. The world is so small especially here in CH and by the time the word will be spread across and will reach the poor doctor. Now you can imagine what it will do to the infamous practitioner and his reputation will be hurt subject to use in case of vengeance only.

On a serious note though you can file a complain to the relevant administrative organ in which case search engine on the EF will help And all the searches reveal "Complaints corner". It's a vicious circle you know, LOL

Try to take it up and discuss with your insurance provider. They usually take things seriously.

Re: Where do you go to complaint about a Doctor?

Given the User Name of the OP and the recommendation for 'juiceplus', I'd hazard a guess that this was not a General Practitioner but someone advocating 'natural healing methods'.

Hope this is PC - I'm beginning to get very worried about my use of phrases which used to be OK and are no longer acceptable these days

Re: Where do you go to complaint about a Doctor?

The OP could be a very subtle advert.

I had no idea what Juice Plus was earlier this morning.

Now I do.

And I'm applying to be a distributer.

Bob, Bob, Bob. You have a lot to learn. You should know by now that the Swiss like their produce in capsule form.

I just need a fancy dispenser and their cash is mine.

Re: Where do you go to complaint about a Doctor?

I am intrigued to know who this "doctor" may be, as like the OP, I live in the Nyon area. However, I think there is little chance that our paths will cross, as I never consult anyone on health issues unless he/she is a fully qualified medical practioner whose medical diploma(s) is/are recognised by the appropriate Swiss Authority.
